Projection: West Virginia vs. Ohio State Now I'm not smoking the same stuff the staff at collegefootballnews.com is smoking, but it's still an entertaining bit of writing. After seeing them place BSU in the Rose Bowl, I went looking for where staff anticipated the Huskies playing. I didn't see them placed anywhere. Hmmm is there a bowl spot for the team that finishes last in the PAC-10? The Gaylord Bowl in Nashville maybe? I don't see BSU getting an invite to join the PAC-10 anytime soon, but if UW has another year like this one, maybe the PAC-10 will invite them to join the WAC. I've stirred it, now have some fun. Without reading the article, I make the following predictions:
1. There will be way too many bowl games.
2. A bunch of teams that are a game or two over .500 will be in bowl games, when they ought to be at home wondering why their team is so bad.
3. A bunch of sponsors will spend billions to fund those crappy teams playing in cut rate bowls.
4. College football should have a tournament or playoff system.
5. The BcS sucks balls.

Four words sum it up: TOO EARLY TO TELL.
The reason the bowl system exists is not to decide the National Champion. It never has been. It is all about the almighty dollar. Teams that particiapte in bowls get money. Teams in conferences split the bowl money within the conference. The only way to get a playoff system in place is to take the money out of the bowl system. Good luck doing that.

Who did BSU lose too this year.......Toilet Bowl contender's If that was the highlight of the year, you should lower that Huskie flag to half mast. Two teams playing a sloppy game, one just a little less so than the other. And your team hasn't won a single game since. 5 loses in a row? And looking like it'll be at least 3 more L's. Having the hardest schedule in the nation doesn't do your team any good if they lose 80% of their games. If BSU and UW both lose to Hawii, then maybe we could watch a rematch in the Gaylord Bowl. The toilet bowl is fictional, but the Gaylord bowl is real.

You should be begging to get UW in the WAC. Maybe then your team could at least place 2nd on a regular basis.
This is going to make that Hawii game all the more interesting...

That wasn't my prediction, and I'm in agreement that it's far fetched. It is a weird year though. Watch Hawaii whip on UW, and then turn around and lose to BSU. Strange stuff like that has been happening every week.

Sorry Vinnie, I should have quoted the source and not you....I know it wasn't your prediction. It just struck me as odd. But then again I didn't think BSU and their high BCS ranking would be able to compete with Oklahoma in last years Fiesta Bowl either.
Attending a BSU home game trip is still on my "to do list"....preferably late in the season with a high possibilty of snow. Add in a little chukar hunting and/or steelheadin' and you have the makings for a perfect weekend in my book.

Just got back from *lovely* eugene oregon, I made it out alive. Talk about a community orgasm, I swear you could hear the fans squishing as they walked out of that game, smelled like sex all over town this morning....  Oregon is good, no denying it..and, I've come to realize the level of their excitement can only be compared to a 45 year old virgin librarian who is finally "getting some", suffering through the Huskies current stench only shows me what Oregon lived through for the last century, it seems to be their time to shine and until phils money runs out I expect they will keep lurking around the BCS picture...but, they need help if they want to play for the championship. go TO HELL ducks stam
