The announcement for the date of this year's Snoopy Rod Classic made its way around the e-mail world today...who's gonna start the chit talkin'?

I see that a few dudes have fired it up a bit already on the "how long do fish fights last?" thread...but it's pretty tame so far.

I'd talk some chit, but our boat got the skunk-ola last year, so I'll wait a bit \:\)

Fish on...

Todd

You weren't alone last year Todd. We would have been in the money last year if Andy wasn't such a good guy. He's been eating raw meat all year though and he's ready to combat fish!
Watching 4 Salt catch a fish and Beezer or Craig go head over ass trying to get there to net it crippled me last year.
Hmmm I might have a picture.

You boys better get there EARLY. I floated in front of your pack last year and had a stellar day, and done by 10:30 or so!!
SORRY
Just trying to get it started!

Well, I guess a forward of the e-mail works for me. Thanks Dave! We'll make sure to bring some spuds this time, and now that I have an idea of where we'll be fishing we'll make a better showing than that single spawner sockeye last year.

My manners will be left at the launch, and I've been taking lessons on the side from Big Stick. Better pack the Bactine, ladies.

A word to the uninitiated. If you decide to get in a "Let's see who can hit the hardest competition" with Pat, don't. My chest still hurts, and I didn't get hit.

Make sure you guys take lots of pics and especially video. I loved watching the caenage unfold from year previous. Dont forget the paintball guns and spud guns.

Last year you all spooked the fish with the cannons. I caught a nice 8 lber after you all left the hole. Hopefully the SRC falls on my anniversary this year and I can fish in peace for my birthday.

That's a great segway, I was just reflecting on that.

The Mother of all River Cannons has been laid to rest
.... but we'll have something new up our sleeves this year.

If Ripley can keep his Super Spud Cannon from doing propane misfire aerial flamebursts in the boat that will be a good start. BTW Rip, we need to go test fire that puppy and make sure she's in good working order.

1 things for sure, the team name 220 GPM is going to have to change due to the cannon and like devices certainly being banned from this year. Hopefully the Executive SRC Commitee will be lenient on the rule changes \:\)

All I really wanna know is, how's Beezer going to get Tim back........

"i love these threads"

Actually Mark I was wondering if the guy that started this "chit", might be the owner of the signature at the bottom of RocketRed's piece in another thread...

I do believe I owe someone a direct hit from a potato! ;\) I'll never forget watching from the row seat as gilly fell over backwards and a tater exploded on our bow! What a shot.... Now I have to figure out how to make myself a tater gun. \:\)

Who's gonna get it started? Me! Either give me an invite or let my boat in on the fun and I'll kick all your asses! And I'll do it with a skated Western Steelhead Bee to boot;)

Don't even need a spud gun or net. My damn dog will retrieve anything attached to anyone's line....

F' it. You guys are just a bunch of pseudo brat bonking wannabee's anyway;)

I could just launch the SS Beverages Afloat and deliver adult beverages for a reasonable fee....
