I've been sitting on my couch sick as a dog since sunday so I have a little venting to do... I've seen some posts on here lately that are flat out disruptive, disrespectful, and abusive. Some of you appear to be stuck in high school (maybe you are in high school). What is the point of beating up on people until they leave the board, or develop some sort of complex that makes them feel like everyone hates them? Granted, the people that are being abused are not doing much to help themselves (i.e. keep your mouth shut).
I have no problem with a good roast. Sometimes people just need to know when to quit.
Not everyone can be the ultimate fisherman, smart, sexy, and downright flawless! Except maybe Stam. And he's some sort of freak.

Neal, I agree with you. I have been thinking the same thing, even thought of sending PMs to three specific individuals. Asking them to cool it, it makes the atmosphere unpleasant. I figured the mods would jump on it at some point... Perhaps a teen board? I actually was forwarded a copy of a document on how the internet is an opportunity for some younger people to use bullying tactics, charactor assasintaion etc. Not at all cool

I agree, i have not bashed on anybody nearly as bad as i have gotten it lately? I mean whats the deal with that? I have been just keeping my mouth shut and still people start threads about bashing me? Its really getting a little out of control.

This board allows it's members to post their opinions a little more freely than other places without over-anxious moderatation. However, a few seem to take advantage of that and cross the line too frequently.

Good call Neal, I think fall salmon season has been a little slow up there for some people resulting in people showing off some of their really talented photo shop skills

We'll keep an eye on the high schoolers. As long as Blades doesn't do anything too reckless with his posts I'll try to keep the playing field level.

Neal, sometimes a few personalities go overboard. This isn't the first time, and it won't be the last; people being people and all. It was hard for me to believe that Blades was so naive to set himself up repeatedly for the smackdowns he got (deserved or not, ultimately that doesn't matter), but he did it again and again. He seems to be catching on, and he can either use it as a growth experience and mature a little or grow a bigger chip on his shoulder. It's really his choice. Life ain't fair, and neither is the internet - for sure.

Get yourself well. There's a bad bug goin' round. My GF has it, and I'm 'fraid I might get sick, and I don't take it well at all.

I was starting to wonder if Blades was actually a real person.....
SG, don't get what I have. It put my kids down for 5 days with a fever of 102-104.... I've been out now for 4 days with a fever between 101 and 103. Every couple hours I go from so cold that I shake, to drenched with sweat.... White spots all over my tonsils. Kind of feels like someone tried to remove them with pliers. Went to the doctors yesterday and they ruled out strep and mono.... Just a bad virus.

No worries Abu. I can get riled up sometimes. Never been able to get mad and stay mad though... ever.

I take vitamins every morning and wine or alternate alcohol source every evening. So far so good. I thought I was getting a tickle in the throat and itchy watery eyes the other day, so I had an extra glass of wine. Today's my birthday, so I plan to double up the dosage to help ward off evil spirits.

Meds seem to be working. So far so good, staying healthy. But I have some higher test scotch and tequilla if any symptoms act like they're going to settle in.
