I haven't done anything this risky since Stam and I flew into the Brooks range in an experimental aircraft a friend of ours built to hunt Caribou. Five days of no sleep worrying about getting snowed-in or the potential for outboard motor problems on a river with no floatable outlet and no roads is hard to fathom unless you put yourself in the situation. It was worth it, however, as Nick and I hooked 70 steelhead and landed 46 with 5 of those over 20 pounds. Four of those 20's we shot on video. Here's a few photos. \:\)

Awesome Sol. I'm jealous, of the fish, the snow, and the whole trip. Totally cool. Right on. Impatiently waiting for the video.
