i went to the Seahawks game tonight...i did everything i should have, including not drinking (so that i could drive my mothers boyfreind home if he needed) something i dont nomally do...(i do drink too much) anyway...i get back to my car after being good and what do i have on my window...

A FREAKING PARKING TICKET!!!!!!

i paid my five bucks just like i was supposed too..and now they want 25 more....now im so pissed i dont think ill sleep for a while...i get soooo burned up at these type of things...is this a normal thing...i parked in a lot...a normal lot...stuck my money in like i have before...should have viedoed it i guess...
just venting a little...im still pissed..i know if i try to sleep know i wont...gezzzzze....c

Give the owner of the lot a call and make sure that it's a valid ticket. There's a lot of scammers out there that will depend on you not doing any further investigation into the matter and just pay the money. I know this because I received a collection notice from Daimond parking with my license number the make of my car and the time and date of the infraction. Unfortunately for them I was working during that time in Poulsbo and was no where near Seattle. A freindly reminder that the proper authorities will be called is usually all it takes if you are in the right. Good luck.

Just send them a letter and tell them you had paid. 90% of the time they'll cancel the ticket.
BTW, one frequent scam is someone will stand and collect dollars for parking and then book with the dough. Everyone gets a ticket or towed for not paying.

There's the possibility that you parked and paid your $5 before they started collecting the big $'s for the game.

If you had to fold the $5 bill and force it into a slot, someone (usually drug addicts) can come by later and pick it out of the slot, using a variety of means. I live downtown and I have seen it done many times. Parking lots are aware of this and will give you credit if you report it to them.

BTW, if it's not city metered parking, there is'nt much they (Diamond, Key, U-park) can do to make you pay. Don't lose sleep, just give them a call if you are concerned about the ticket.

i dealt with it today..i was a total bitach...i was really pissed...and they really didnt care...bottom line it was a total scam...what ended up happining is that they said i put it in the wrong slot...and that their parking lot only goes up to 24...and of course i was in 25...if you look one of these pics were of space 24 in the background...its a scam ....i actully ran into 4 other customers today that said they had the same problem with the same lot...and they wont change it...my main argument is that if the lot stops at 24 why do you have slots for 35...thats a bunch of crap...im not as worried..i called four times today...im sure i bothered em enough...fact is that i will settle for paying 1.50 the difference between the lots...but i know it is a scam..i know the lot that looks like we should be paying at is pocketing 5 bucks and the lot that should be getting the 6.50 is pocketing 25 bucks...the other lot is just a kick back...beware...i told them that any judge would agree...that you really shoud only have spaces 1-24 if that is all you are wanting in that box...the other box was totally hidden behind other cars...didnt even see it till i was leaving, only cause the lot was empty....thanks guys...and watch out....heres the pics....c

Those bastards SUCK... you are at the mercy of whoever collects the money... I left my truck parked at the bainbridge one a few years back for two days... left $32 or whatever it was for parking, and guess what? The money never got turned in... They sent me to collections and threatened all kinds of things, and I ended up in an all out screaming match with the HMFIC and he immediately backed down and took care of the problem... but it was a pain in the ass...

whatever you dont give them another dime...they cant touch you. I would file a report with the Better Business Bureau

yeah what a pain in the butt....if you know where the old police station was down there, its the parking lot behind it...i belive i will write to the BBB...this was a complete run around..i think they only got on it cause i called 4 times and raised a stink for so long...i was ready to take it to small claims court...and i dont think a judge would have sided with this lot...if you only want spaces 1-24 dont keep the numbers going...thats crap...ut oh...gotta get ready for work...c
