Starving people to death is a TAD worse than not allowing them to practice their religion. It was wrong, but so were many humans at that time.
Native Americans brutalized each other far worse than what was done to them by our ancestors. They also killed whites with the same brutality.

The Romans invaded England as well as many other European countries and those who did not assimilate to the chosen religion were tortured and killed. They forced their pathetic middle eastern religion on them all. Should I and others whine about THAT?

At some point in time, folks need to GET OVER IT, including Native Americans and blacks. And perhaps....

AuntyM, I don't know if the conversation turned adversial when you said that Native Americans weren't considered human or when you said that they suffered worse things then suppression of their beliefs, but which ever, that's when.

99.99999999999% of Native Americans would rather starve than disrepect their ancestors. Native American "religion" does not / did not consist of going to church 1 day a week, it was life. Not a way of life, life. Don't expect me to explain it. But your ancestors understood it well enough to exploit it. So yes AuntyM when it comes to Native Americans you don't know Jack & no, I do not need to rethink that.

I will get "over it" under 3 circumstances:
1. Acknowledge the wrong doing.
2. Make appropriate retribution.
3. Honor all treaties.

Simply really -then yes, I will get over it. As far as African-Americans well, I can't answer that. My best guess in that case - sorry aint gonna do it.
