This really turns up the heat on Willingham, since the guy who hired him and his biggest supporter is now gone. A 7-5 season and the Weedwhacker Bowl bid may not be enough to keep him around next year.
I think any staff changes will take place once the recruiting quite period starts next week. All the coaches will be back in town and if you are going to pink slip someone, that will be the time to do it.
Turner never got the stamp of approval from the big $$$ boosters. The stadium is a dump his lack of fundraising was pretty evident. That and not being hired by Emmert was his ticket out of town.

I like it...He couldn't get money to get a new stadium and he wasn't exactly the right fit for the job....
Hopefully he can get Willingham to realize that his defensive coordinator sucks balls and get Baer fired...
I agree with stonedfish...7-5 aint gonna keep Tyrone around for any longer then '08

Seeing as I am one of the bigger dawg fans around I am just happy they kept the current coaching staff in place. Dont want to mess with a good thing when they are so close to dominating the Pac 10. Cheers

Naw, The big D is happy now that he has sun, hot women and many bars within walking distance of his office... In spite of all the crap Willingham is getting his recruiting class is going to be top 10 in the nation. Give him a few years to get these players in and this team will at least be good enough for the Vegas bowl by 2009.

I think it is the bars that are keeping him there.
As far as Ty goes, you can bet Emmert already has folks in mind as a replacement if he doesn't win next year. It has been seen at many schools that the coach who has a good recruiting classes isn't alway the one that coaches them to victories.
I also think Emmert already had a short list of AD candidates before he sent Turner packing. Victories and the stadium remodel are prority number one now. Turner couldn't deliver either.
