They were just talking on KJR regarding the 2001 Mariners. They of course lost the ALCS to the Yankee's after their record breaking regular season. Andy Pettite won two games as the MVP of that series and Clemens started another game the Yaks won. They failed to mention though that they were throwing against guys like Popeye Bret Boone. You've got to love a good conspiracy theory.
I think there are a lot more guys then just the 80 or so that they named. Some were just smarter then the others, like playing cash rather then writing checks for their roids.
You have to wonder if Clemen's throwing the bat a Mike Piazza was a case of roid rage?

So was Barry. The reason is because of how big he has been for the past few years, basically up until last year. Then this year his uniform was a little bigger than normal, and he missed some time due to injury. It’s just an opinion though. Manny Stats A little spike in HR’s from 1998 to 2005. Coincidence? Maybe, but I think not. Again, merely my opinion. Also, would anyone think that Bonds' stats were odd just by looking at them, except for his 73 HR year?? Bonds Stats

Bonds was just putting himself on a fair playing field.
... Amazingly, Mitchell failed to add Manny to his list. I don't buy the "level playing field" because you are putting his stats against other greats of the game. It might be a "level playing field" for the era (I don't even buy that) but his stats shouldn't be able to be compared to people like Hank Aaron. And just because Manny (or anyone else) isn't on the list doesn't mean there is some conspiracy. Maybe he was just smarter about how he did it? They clearly aren't going to catch everyone. Some of these were easy finds though and were based on canceled checks or first hand info from other players or trainers. The other thing that seems strange to me is that people are already saying things like, "Yeah, that was steroid era in the late 90's", as if none of this continued up to the most recent seasons? And shame on the league for trying to punish Giambi a while back when he was trying to be open about what had happened. All that did was make everyone shut up and continue denying everything.

I didn't see Bret Boone listed in any of the reports. Jose named him in his book.

Basketball players don't need bulk, because basketball is more like a ballet and requires fine motor skills. Steroids would render basketball players rigid and mechanical, like Robots. Besides, Basketball player love having sex with all the groupies.
Now when you mention... crack, guns and gangs, that's another thing. Seems to be the same for football as well, but with football, you can add one more...the addiction for watching mutts fights, as Michael Vicks was.
