Dogfish, everyone knows you let an AR-15 touch the ground, you might as well burn it.

An AK-47, OTOH, loves dirt & grit. \:\)

Hankster, you are correct. We need a change, and just like Bush #2, I dn't want to see Clinton #2.

Maggie sure surprised the Argentines.

My favorite National Enquirer headline when that little war happened -

"98 year old Hitler masterminds Falklands invasion"

When I look at Hillary, I see the same corporate sellout we've gotten from Bushco - please make it stop!

Hillary and Bill are cut from the same political DNA. So I'd prefer not to have Hillary in the White House, and it has nothing to do with her gender. If McCain hadn't painted himself all "Bush" the last couple years, he might still be a viable candidate. Since there's no one running who reflects my values or inspires feelings of leadership in me, my primary purpose in voting is to prevent an R from being the next prez.

Thatcher did a good job with the Argentine butt kicking, but in hindsight it was very expensive for the limited substantive accomplishment (they lost a British Destroyer and many crewmen in the battle). It was good PR for her tho, and established her street fighting credentials.

Golda Meir led Israel, the number one enemy in the eyes of the Islamic world. I wasn't questioning a woman's ability to oppose the Muslim world; that doesn't take any talent or leadership when you have the US military at your service. I was wondering whether a woman president would be able to form friendly and cooperative relationships with Muslim leaders, something that is important to building peace in the region.

Fishpinner,

Don't you see, it doesn't matter. The way the US forms relationships with Muslim leaders is by invading their countries and killing them or just forming business relationships and buying their oil with US military equipment. Doesn't matter if the prez is male or female; how can they say no to war, money, and munitions?
