Just a report from the mid-winterfest known as Presidents Day weekend.
Just got home and unpacked a bit ago. Amazing how much STUFF you can fit into a rig for 4 days.

Could have been confused as the winter northwest version of the Beverly Hillbillies.
The weekend consisted of good times with friends and family, good boarding, good fishing with Snit, good food, good drinks, good crisp sunshine, and terrible Karokee singing, but still fun none the less. We ate like it was our last weekend before a diet.
Thanks to Snit, Sol, my daughter and I got to go fish Rufus, it was beautiful out, slight chill, awesomely colored fish. I was amazed how well those fish ate, super good and fatty, excellent flavor. The techniques used that we saw were as varied as the cars on a used car lot. Saw fish caught by others in every technique used. Snit had us using his "top" secret plugs which pulled the fish out of their cold water dulldrums just fine. My daughter got to reel a lot and we got a few, lost a few, let a couple go, came home with a few. The size of those fish, of which not all were rainbows, were impessive, the fight could be a bit better, but whose gonna complain about a fight when the fishery puts out consistent fish large fish in numbers while the water temp is in the mid 30's.?.? Not I, especially when the flavor of the meat was so good that leftovers were not an issue. Here is some pics.

Off to the mountains we were most of the time. Actually, the house we stayed at was in the mountains. The kids were outside sledding, throwing snowballs, digging snow forts and such most of the time while at the house. But this weekend was about sliding downm the hill. It was awesome to be out there in sunshine and early spring conditions. Here's some more pics.

My kid flying. He's tearing it up, ripping, speed, getting air. It's pretty cool as he's getting good, and fun to watch. He said in the car on the drive home that this weekedn was one of the best ever, he said he loved it. I thought that was pretty cool. Cool to get to do stuff that your kids like to do, and are getting decent at.

The Sol man hit the slopes without mishap, seems the season is going well for the man this year.
Back at the house, kids played, we ate, we hung out and enjoyed the goofing around, and The Sol brought his new chick, they were like stuck to each other practically the whole time. Everytime I saw Sol, there seemed to be a Sherry attached to him.
The in-home excitement.

Sol and Snit...

Well there ya have it. Probably toooooo many pics, but I just had self control issues trying to decide which of the 182 pics to put up.
Life was meant to be played. It's a participations sport.
