Because I promised to put this up...

Where are the lami rods in the Lacey Cabela's? I was talking with three of some of their sales people on the floor, and they were scratching their heads why Lami couldn't get them any more product than a dozen rods. They've made the same comments to me for the last 4 weeks. However Loomis has 6 racks of rods. They'd love to have 6 racks of Lami rods to go with them.

I love to shop online, but sometimes I'm more than willing to pay an extra $50 to have the privilege of holding something before I buy it.

I like Lami. I've had to use their customer service and I paid a few bucks for a brand new top half of a x86mc. I've bought 5 Cert Pro's in the last 2 weeks. I would have bought another 2 last night but there was no selection at the largest sporting goods store in the region.

Woodland, there are people in Lacey with money burning a hole in their pockets.
There are lonely rod holders in O-Town.

LOL, did someone tell him to hold his rod's by the cork end. OMG that was some funny stuff.

Seriously though, 120 Loomis rods, 12 lamiglas. Get me on Lami sales team. I'll move some product for them.

The people in Lacey have no say into what Lami has at the store. If you want to complain send an email to Nebraska. Same problem as Sportsmens Warehouse buyer is in Utah and fishing managers have no say.
If you want a Lami goto Sportco or Joes. At the very least you would supporting locally owned retailers.

I've been eyeing this same rod. Seen one for sale a O.E for 189.00 is this a good price?

Wooly Bully,

Guiding? Whats that? Call me for booking.

GDF,

The guys in Lacey do have a say. The stock in the store is undergoing lots of changes. Actually looks like a windstorm hit, and blew away half the bass stuff. There is stuff scattered unorganized, and they are expecting 40k more in fishing tackle. Hopefully by summertime, the south Florida saltwater tarpon gear will be cut in half.

The Lami sales rep promised to deliver more goods, and weeks later nothing. I'd like to see the guys in Woodland do well. I'd also like to drive 15 minutes from the house and handle some cork.

sounds about the going rate these days at places like OE/sportco. in the '90s the only place to get a lami was OE -- 1000 series were regularly on sale for $89 or $99 for many years. i remember being irritated that they jacked the price up to $109 when i bought my first!

nwo, the absolute best prices are usually at gi joes -- when they run their "30% off any 3 items"(well, other than shiloomis etc that fix their prices), you can get some killer deals on the certified pro models. only problem is that they don't stock a very good selection. i did grab an X96JC for $109 in november, though.

cabelas could also stock up their st. croix selection, they've probably got 50 of them but 90% are bass and trout rods.

We stocked a large selection of Lami's at 3 Rivers Marine a couple of years ago.

For whatever reason, they did not sell in our store.

We ended up closing them out.

Never could figure it out.

that's kind of interesting...i asked the guys at sportco if they'd finally given in to the loomis nutjobs by selling their rods(and all the other overpriced junk they sell with their logo). he said those guys won't buy anything but a loomis anyway, and that it actually drove their lamiglas sales up!

Loomis makes good rods, but Dave Vedder has me sold on the Lamiglas brand.
Dave's one of the coolest guys I know, and I respect his opinion. To me he spoke nothing but praise for the folks in the shop in Woodland. Of course they put his name on a bunch of their rods, I don't know if that has anything to do with it

I'd like to see them sell all the rods they can make. And in that spirit I suggest they get a hold of someone in the fishing department at the Lacey store. They are asking for LOTS more stock.

Vince

BTW I'm still looking for X 9'6 JS. And a pair of those flame tip composite hotshot rods (which are harder to find than bigfoot).

Cabelas is a funny place. My buddy went in there to pick up some 12# Ultragreen, but they didn't have any in stock. Ended up getting 10#.

Met up with him later in Montesano and stopped at the Chevron. They had a bunch of the line there, but unfortunately, wouldn't trade him spools.

I think that gas station is my second favorite tackle shop, aside from their exchange policy. Oh, they don't carry Lami stuff either, but I wouldn't hold that against them.

V-hawk, if you have time to drive down to Portland to Fishermen's Marine Supply ,you can pick up any Lami you want and don't have to pay sales tax on it.

Or stop at Bob's in Longview, the $$$ you save in gas will cover the tax. Bob's is quickly becoming my favorite fishing/hunting store.
