3 full, fat carousels of Lami rods showed up 2 days ago at the Lacey Cabela's. If someone passed along my ranting, thanks. If it was just coincidence, that's just as cool. I'd like to stimulate the economy by picking up a couple of X 9'6 LLS. Nice to see them in stock.

Okay, I'll bite. What is a 9'6 LLS? I called my Lami supplier and he didn't have a clue as to what it was. Let me know. I might be able to help.

X96LLS = a 9'6" light action trout rod.

while you're at it, next time you call lamiglas, demand they b ring back the X96LC, or better yet, build a 9'0 pro series STEELHEAD rod(not that big meat stick, the X90HC).

Chum man, you sound angry. Maybe you should talk to them, maybe scare them into bringing back the X96LC.

i use almost exclusively lamiglas rods, but they always seem to cut the good models from the lineup before i have a chance to grab one! the X96LC has a cult following among several guys i know. talking to them a little while back revealed that they stopped wrapping them with the guides up because folks were high sticking them and they aren't exactly a heavy duty rod. at least they still make the blank, though.

i've been trying to keep myself from buying a loomis 1082C for a couple years now, but i might have to give in eventually. i don't care much for spinning rods and i need a lite action baitcaster for fall coho fishing with tiny leads and small gobs of roe.

Just my 0.02 cents here, I own several X96LS's along with the Loomis IMX and GLX side-drifing rods, and the Lami X96LS is the best side-drifting rod out there. Try one if you doubt me. \:\)

I can't be certain but, I am pretty sure I saw a x96lc at OE in Seattle when I bought my x96jc. That was a few weeks ago. I was comparing it to the x96jc to try and make a decision. I choose the jc thinking I needed a little more backbone.
I guess I did not really know what I was looking at. Seems that rod has quite a following. Maybe worth stopping by for someone in the area, might be a score!
I drive by OE everyday on my way home, I will stop in and see if I was right, then I will report back and let you guys know.

even better, the EC96LS if you can find one still on a rack. lamiglas has a row of EC96LS and EC96LLS rods for a pretty good deal at the factory right now(they're obsolete, but made of XMG50 graphite instead of cert. pro stuff, very light in the hand).

just wish they still made that trigger version, though...
