Below is a flyer for the upcoming benefit for Gordy on April 4. Please try to be there  I am currently in the process of working on another large raffle to be held here, independent of the event itself, and would like to solicit all of you for some help in donating prizes for the winners. They do NOT necessarily need to be fishing / hunting / outdoor related ... all prizes are welcome as it obviously will generate some extra interest and incoming dollars to help Kim & Gordy deal with the slough of expenses realting to his accident and current slow, but hopeful recovery. Perhaps you own or work at a restauarnt that might be willing to donate a dinner ... or maybe have some season tix to a team that you'd be willing to part ways with for a game or two, you get the idea Please PM me or email at RLBALL@OLYPEN.COM with any help that you might be able to provide and as soon as my schedule calms a bit, I'll try to get the ball rolling. Thanks Dan $ SSF, I'll be sending a PM shortly Gordy is a long-time guide in the Forks area who suffered a long fall from a cliff into some rocks early this summer. Somewhat of a mentor to me, he was the second person in Forks that I met and when I still lived in Seattle, I often stayed with he and his wife when coming out this way to fish. He suffered very severe injuries and was not expected to even survive the accident. KIm has been caring for him since the accident and has been unable to work since June. Gordy is making slow progress but many years of tough rehab still lie ahead. While we all joked about his mile-a-minute personality, they both are some of the nicest people you could ever meet and they are the type that would have done anything for anyone ... it's time to repay the favors

ahhhh, no big deal. Gordy and Kim and homeys. It is easy to tell another West Virginian in a crowd. We walk around mountain slopes all our lives so one leg is always shorter than the other.

Stams gonna send us a new Loomis & Curado to go into this raffle. Jim Richeson is sending 40 crab our way for the dinner. The raffle that I am doing will be INDEPENDANT of the dinner, although we are accepting donations for either. You can specify if you'd like it for one or the other. The raffle will be online with PayPal or mail-in entries like we have done in the past
