This is the first time I haven't been able to hunt the turkey opener in I don't know how many years and I probably won't be able to get out till the end of the month :(. So, looks like I'll have to live vicariously through others till than. Anybody make it out?

Our season opens next Saturday. I have some urban gobblers pinned down and patterned already, and will spend all of this weekend and evenings next week patterning the rural birds. Hoping to get a big-woods gobbler with the trusty 11-87 and my urban gobbler with the Bowtech.

Good luck to everyone!

we ended up 2/3 over 3 days in stevens county. weather really wasn't as bad as it could have been. not much gobbling, except first thing in the AM. i think that the rut hasn't really come into full swing. the bird i killed was a pretty big one, 9" beard, 1" spurs. 'course i didn't take pics.........
