Over the past several months, Joe and I have been doing some serious re-vamping of Rvrfshr Products...new business plan, new products, new website...and we've got an awful lot done over that time.

First, thanks to Piscatorial Pursuits, who has provided a lot of business to us by steering folks our way with our banner ad...and especially thanks to all of our current customers who have used our tackle and had success. It's very gratifying to see anglers go out and get excited about catching fish on our gear!

To those of you who aren't our customers yet, give our website a look and see if we have something that piques your interest...I'm proud to say that we have the best hardware for catching river salmon and steelhead bar none, and if you use it you'll find that out for yourself, too!

For those of you who are familiar with our products, you'll see all the old standbys on our new website; the spoons and spinners, the hooks, the jigheads...but you'll also see a whole bunch of new stuff...and there's more on the way soon.

So, here's our new website: Rvrfshr Products . Please check it out and give us some feedback on how it works for you. We think it's a lot easier to navigate and use than our old one, besides looking better as it's updated with our new logo and new gear!

Special big shout out to PP member Irish Rogue who gave us so much help putting it together that I can't even begin to relay just how much he did. Thanks, Brian...you won't ever be shy on hardware in your tackle bag \:\)

And now for the good stuff...

Our spinner, the Rvrwhrlr...our selection of finishes amongst the sizes has expanded, most notably we are now producing a size 4 Black Chrome spinner just in time for summer steelhead fishing.

Winter runs, summer runs, salmon...if you're looking for a spinner, we've got 'em.

Our spoon, the Rvrwaggler, is the best designed spoon out there for salmon and steelhead, and besides having the Rvrwaggler available in all the best finishes, we were the first to ever produce a hammered 50/50 gold and silver spoon. Our copper, gold, and silver finishes are just that...real copper, gold, and silver, with all the reflective properties that those real finishes possess. Silver-colored, or gold-colored finishes look great on the shelf...the real thing looks great underwater, and we're in the business of catching fish, not fishermen.

Here are the most exciting new products we've got...all of the finishes of spoons we've made in the past now come in hammered spoons, too...these hammered copper and hammered black chrome spoons are going to be doing some damage to summer runs this coming summer!

Big winter runs...

Shiny summer runs...

Hatchery fish for the BBQ...

Even salmon \:\)

Everybody likes the Rvrwaggler \:\)

Also just in time for summer, our line of jigheads has just expanded enough to fill virtually every jig need out there in the Pacific Northwest!

Heavy wire Sickle Hooks, the strongest and sharpest jig hooks ever made, in various sizes and weights, both in 90 degree bends with lead, or 60 degree bends with heavy Gold plated or Silver plated beads. Just like the Sickle Siwash hooks, these hooks hook, and these hooks hold.

Another exciting new line of products is the Rvrworm and Light Bulb Dibbler. Some of you who have fished with me over the past couple of years have seen them being field tested, and since they are proven producers, they join the lineup of Rvrfshr Products now, too! Right now they are available in six inch models in two colors...Fluorescent Orange and Fluorescent Pink...and come with matching Dibbler heads. Two more colors are on the way, Fluorescent Green/Chartreuse, and Fluorescent Merthiolate/Red.

Stay tuned for 3 inch paddle tails suitable for poking on a jighead...they're coming soon, too!

Yeah, they really do work \:\)

All of our lures come with all the terminal gear necessary to get you on the water...and most importantly, they all come with the Rvrsticker Sickle Siwash hook! For those of you have used them before, you know that they have the best hookup to land ratio of any of the siwash hooks out there...so much better than any round bend siwash it's a wonder why anyone would use any other hooks at all on their spoons and spinners!

These hooks are available in sizes 4, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, and 3/0, and in various size packages. For the first time in a while we are fully stocked with all of the sizes. Demand has been so high in the past for these hooks that we really got stocked up on them!

We also have Sickle Octopus Hooks that we've been testing this past winter, and they really passed the test. Right now they come standard with Rvrworm/Light Bulb Dibbler packs (along with beads and/or sequins, too!), and will soon be available in day or bulk packs, too!

Another set of exciting products that are still on the horizon, but not too far off, is an expanded line of spoon sizes. All of the Rvrwagglers you're used to seeing come in sizes ranging from 3/8 ounce to 1/2 ounce...coming soon are smaller spoons for summer run fishing, probably either in 1/3 or 1/4 ounce sizes, or both, and also larger spoons for big water fishing, probably in the 3/4 ounce size.

So that's about it for the news right now...as always, we've got great Guide Pricing, Wholesale Pricing for retail outlets, and bulk pricing for the regular Joe who knows what he wants, and he wants a lot of it...contact us directly to inquire about those deals!

sales@rvrfshr.com
http://www.rvrfshr.com

Since our website is brand new, there are bound to be a few typos and mishaps to be found...please let me know if you see anything that needs to be fixed, and a pack of lures might be heading your way if you're right \:\)

Thanks, everyone, and we look forward to being your source of steelhead tackle for many years to come!

I see a quiver of new hoochie spinners in my near future.

Well done and keep up the good work guys.

Nice site guys!! I really like the hammered black chrome spoon, that should be a killer. Your sickle jigs look good enough to dip, I'll take some of the 3" paddle-tails as well. Sportsman's Warehouse stocked-up soon ??

This one is dated but still a goodie, springer on a "old school" Rvrfshr spoon....

What's the scoop on the "new" hooks?

The hooks on the latest spinners and spoons pictured are NOT the original angular Matzuo sickles.

See the difference in the angular primary bend off the hook shank?

The hooks that are shown on the lures in those pics are some OEM hooks that we are developing, too...but the Sickle Siwash in the bottom pic are the ones that will be coming with the orders...

Since I've been asked a couple of other times, yeah, those OEM hooks work pretty well, too...but I haven't had a very long time to test them yet. I went 2-2 with them on spoons the only time I've used them...if you look at the first pic in my original post with the 50/50 in the chops of a big buck, you'll see that he's attached to the spoon by one of the OEM hooks.

To be clear one more time...the hooks shown on the lures in the above pics are NOT the hooks that will be coming with your orders...your orders will be coming with the Sickle Siwash hooks.

Thanks for asking, Doc...hopefully that clears it up!

Fish on...

Todd

Very nice work, Todd and Joe. I'll be placing an order soon, the standard of excellence has been set and the others just don't stack up. Glad you're stocked up again!
One suggestion, put a "contact us" link with the standard links on every page (at the bottom) if someone does need to email you guys about something regarding the site, it is nice for them to just click rather than explore.
Cheers,
Jason

Thanks for the suggestion, Jason...it's already in the works, and surprisingly it takes a little bit of work to get it on every page...but it will be soon.

For now, click on "About Us" on the top, or "Company Info" on the bottom, and those links will take you to a page with all the contact information, and other other information about our business.

Thanks!

On a similar note, what's with the "extra" barrel swivel added between the hook and split ring on that spoon on the main image of your site?

Does that "extra" barrel swivel come with your spoon kits? If not, why is it pictured? A novice to fishing and your site will look at that picture and ASSume that is what they are getting.

Now where on your site (that I looked) tells exactly what is in a spoon or spinner kit, let alone instructions on how to make them.

Parker's Worthless Advice would be: "If the photo doesn't show EXACTLY what you are selling, don't put it on your site." Goes for the spoons, hooks, spinners, etc. Even IF the photo is cool. Toss it and use another one that shows what you're EXACTLY selling to your customer.

Good start on the site, but you need to dumb it down a bit....if you catch my drift. More basic instructions on how to assemble a spoon or spinner. Instructions on how/where to put stickers. Show hotos that ONLY show what you are selling. No prototype stuff. No OEM hooks - unless that is what comes with the spoons, etc.

Also, I'll personally give up on any site (instantly) if I'm forced to hit the BACK button to navigate. Navigational faux paus on a commercial website.
