So far the fishing in the salt has been pretty slow with the lack of resident coho this year. i have found some nice cutts in their usual haunts but the fish have not yet moved into their summer patterns yet so they are very spread out. Fished for about 10 minutes the other night and landed one fish around 19 inches. Took the fly on the second cast and really hammered it. Beautiful night and a beautiful fish. But, it did appear to be the only fish at that particular spot. Too bad this weather has gotten so shitty but I am a lot more willing to fish in this crap than hunt turkeys so i will be off to the beach later today. Hopefully i'll have a couple pictures.

Well i fished for about an hour this morning. Cold as hell! ended up hooking 3 and landing 1. A really nice fish around 17 inches. He spit the hook as i was trying to get through my layers to the camera. a nice morning on the water, but i sure hope the extra pressure i have seen on my home waters isnt the cause for the lack of fish these days.

a great afternoon today. Several nice cutts to hand including a 19-20 inch fish. Then i found some resident cohos and caught them for awhile. Sure is nice to have the boat back in the water, even if the fish i found were over in the canal.
