Try R and B lures (Jacks Snacks and Tackle) in Oregon.

http://www.randblures.com/r___b_lure_co__casting_spinner_components.html

They have a pic of their bell bodies in this link, but don't seem to have a separate order page for them. Might be worth a phone call or email.

I've also seen bell bodies at Outdoor Emporium in Seattle.

Why do you want bell bodies specifically? They aren't as heavy for the size...

For making your own spinners you really can't beat rvrfshr components. They fish deeper, and put off more flash than vibrax or the like. Plus they're board advertisers... Check them out:

sometimes you don't want to fish deeper.

i like rvrfshr spoons but it doesn't mean i don't throw a krocodile, little cleo, or stee-lee too.

Chum Man - What do those spoons have to do with this thread?

If you don't want your spinner to go as deep you have three options:

1) Use a smaller one.

2) Start reeling sooner after it hits the water.

3) Hold your rod tip higher, and reel faster.

In any case, the ability of a spinner to sink faster than another same-sized spinner is more valuable than your opinion on "old-school" spoons.

Hope this helps...

I use a painted worm weight's which I heated up and dipped into the powder coat paint for color.I build my "Hoootchiieee" spinners with that body.As far as weight, well they make a couple different sizes and weights.Like said above reel faster or slower if need be.Good luck,
STRIKE ZONE

P.S. after tossin the blue fox for Ho's, then switching over and building my own I've actually increased my hook up's.

I was checking out the rvrfshr spinners. How do the sizes they have compare to vibrax?

I like 5's and 6's in Vibrax so I would like to get similar when I try the rvrfshr stuff.

Wait,
On second thought don't answer that here....

No need to hijack the thread. Carry on.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I thought all the "old school" dudes drift fished. No "old school" steelheader would be caught dead with some light-in-the-loafers spinner on his line.

what the hell are you guys beating on me for? this is a question about vibrax bell type bodies, not a rvrfshr thread. i merely give a comparison to another kind of tackle that i use several different kinds of. in my box you'll find rvrfshr, vibrax, metric, bolo and other homemade spinners. why limit myself to one kind?

kind of reminds me of threads where someone posts an ambassadeur question and the curado cult jumps in and starts having a love-fest.

to answer the question, i second stamina, inc.

I don't see where anyone got ripped other than a mild teasing of Chum Man. Larry asked for advice on a product, that many of us feel there's a better alternative for. More power to him in whatever choice he makes.

The bringing up of other spoon makes, or even spoons at all, is more of a departure from the original topic than an alternate suggestion regarding the same tackle. That being said, most of the interesting conversation that takes place here is usually completely off the topic it ends up falling under, so that's not something worth getting worked up over.

I certainly don't judge people by their tackle purchasing decisions, we all have different opinions regarding different products in different applications. Part of the value in this board as a resource is that a question can be asked, and answers will come forth that couldn't possibly all have been thought of by a single person alone. It's how we all see things differently that makes it possible for everyone to learn something.

Fortunately, I don't fish for cotton.
