I'm looking to buy those heavy wax covered boxes in the Seattle Erea. We need 6 for our trip to Alaska. We are hopeing to do some halibut and Ling fishing as well as catch abunch of steelhead. Does anybody have any info on where I can get some of them boxes. And no we won't be killing any of them steelhead.

I know that they can be purchased at one of the several Central Market stores in the Seattle/Kitsap County area, or they can be purchased from any seafood market. Try City fish or University fish. Good Luck.-TBJ

If its any help, you can buy them anywhere in Alaska. Fred Meyer, Walmart, even Safeway. Also, be aware, Alaska Airlines is limiting luggage to one checked bag per flight, instead of two starting this June. Monster bummer for bringing fish home.

Kris, pack your oldest cloths and then donate them to a shelter before you head home. Then you get new ones and you might help someone in the process. Later, Bill

Billyizme may be confusing plain 'ol ice and dry ice. I am 100% certain that at least as-of now Alaska/Horizon will allow you to fly with 5 lbs of dry ice, per person, in checked baggage.
If that news about ONE checked bag per person is true, starting in June, that is a complete DISASTER for parents (travelling with kids, car seats, etc). Not just fishermen. Seems CRAZY
