I'm certainly one who thinks the death of these sealions which will both in the short and long term HURT our sportfishing cause. I also think it's *very* unlikely these guys all died spontaneous, natural deaths...
Further, I never got remotely close to characterizing anyone as a redneck, just that I think their impulsive "solution" is going to be a large-ish net-negative for fish and fishermen. Thanks for seeing the big picture. I'm sure there won't be sealions there this time next yr and no possibility of trapping/or otherwise neutralizing them. We will be dealing with it forever, thanks to this. Only hope is a tribe carries out an ancient, sacred ritual about twice a week.

Could this be the beginning of a long and beatufiul relationship? Switch a couple days of netting for a Sea Lion or two a week? Hmm...
I see excellent oppurtunity looming on the horizon.

I really hope they find the other sea lions involved in these heinous killings and Arrest, interrogate and then sentence them with the death penalty!
