well Phil, my brother in law called me last min tonight, he had to go to a class for work, and my sister was pretty sick, so they wanted us to watch Ryan for 4 hours...with no toys at my house and my nephew asking where is all your toys??? Where is all your toys, i showed him my fishing room and he wanted to go fishing...so i said that we would, considering everything was spur of the moment and we had no toys, we went to Island lake...i would take him to Kitsap, but we had no lifejacket for him here...(now all the fishing stuff i get him stays here)

anyway...after a lot of waiting, and him swinging the rod around saying i want to catch one, where are they, what are they doing?...and ten million other questions, the rod i set down had a bite!!! the fight was on...he was trying to reel it in as fast as he could on our ultra light gear and 2 pound test...hahaha...it was funny...Reel Reel Reel!!! he said I can see it, it is a fish!!!!

it was really cool...could not get him to touch it, but did get some pics here they are....he says its his first freind, but its really his first fish...hahahaha....

i was always afraid that he would not catch a fish the first time i took him, i think that is why i have put it off, and the weather, it did rain for a min, but we were under trees and never got a drop...he got to play in the playground for a min or two, but he had to tell everyone that he got his first "friend"...he just turned 4 ...hahahah...c

ok...i had nothing in the car to put it on, so the flyers we were passing out came in handy...hahah...c


he was a little iffy on touching it, maybe next time, or when he sees other kids doing it....he did carry it outside when it was wrapped up when it was time to go...hahaha...c



and it was THIS BIG!!!!



and when his dad came to get him he was so proud...he kept saying Dad i caught a fish and i want to bring him home!!! over and over again like a 4 year old...hahaha...this is him and his dad...funny pic...his eyes are too funny...c



i got him that new shirt, he thinks its lucky, and wanted to bring it home...hahahha....c

Nice to see people getting youth involved. I can't wait till my little girl turns two. I think thats a good age to start out trout or panfishing.

thanks guys, i would have got on here this morn, but i couldn't get on...workin on the site...i think he is addicted....hahhaha....good thing for me...i always thought when he was born that i would have a new fishing buddy...i love the little guy...we picked em up today and went clamming....he knows what to do...he just stands there between Tony and i and goes back and forth to see who is digging what up...he does not want to get dirty for sure...he is deff a trooper...he wanted to go clamming and fishing...i had to tell him we will go fishing next time...hahaha...a trip to walmart, and a toy, and a rose for his mom later, we went home...all interupted by his friends getting towed around by the lawn mower towing the Red Ryder wagon...I wish i was 4 some days...ahhahahaha...c
