I think that Vhawk and some others have gotten tired of the high school mentality of some here that kind of remind me of some of our sports stars that think because they do one thing well that makes them better than the regular people that have learned how to be good human beings.

I fished with him and Jess once. Stand up guy. Really enjoyed most of his contributions here too. Good luck V!

I've never met Vince but always found humor in his posts. Never could figure out his lack of love for my favorite line, Maxima UG.
Good luck VHawk.

I think that they are all good human beings, some just dish it out and take it better than others

There may be more to the story than meets the eye...there usually is.

I remember VHawk giving abu a fair amount of grief on the virgin issue a while back....things seemed to be getting a bit tense and it wasn't all one sided.

Then Vince visited a friends place and thought it would be cool to peek around in some his friends PM's where things may have been disscussed, (this BTW seems to be some violation of some code).

....anyway, Vhawk didn't like what he saw, and rather than deal with it he left.

Sometimes the easiest route isn't the best... and VHawk has to accept his responsibility in what went down too.

Many times folks leave and come back. I hope Vince does too. But, I'm sure there are two side to the story - whatever the hell the story may be/

The story is pretty much what Stam just said. Vince thought it would be ok to read another board members private messages while staying at their home, and found something that he didn't like. Apparently he couldn't take the truth, hence Irie's "he found out who is friends were, and who wasn't" comment (which is BS btw). Often times the real story doesn't ever reach the board in situations like this, but it's nice that this one has. It makes us "bad humans" look a bit better, not that it really matters any...Later

Vince is a good guy. I fished with him for about an hour on the Nisko last Sept. and found him to be smart and good. If he is gone from the board, it's our loss.

So.....I've got something to say about PM's......those who use them to bash others are simply cowards.....not going to sugar coat for anyone....PM's are great for setting up fishing dates and times, sharing a favorite tip, etc. When they are used to belittle someone in private, those participating are the lowest creeps around. Am I talking about you? Can't take it? Put me on "ignore"......the other coward's way out.

I met Vince, I disagreed with him from time to time, but by far more often I found the stuff he did and shared was interesting, many times humorous, and just as often useful and informative.

I never thought of him as being overly thin skinned, but I may be wrong. He likely is just burned out with the board. I hope to see him again. I am also going to miss his near-daily ventures which he so willingly shared.

Nobody has topped the street-caught chum lost on a dog house. And while there are some very talented writers here....Vince's "twinkle spoon" story is one of the very best pieces I've read.

Yeah, Good Luck, Vince. You Turd. I never did like you. smile

People's true colors are really showing through on this thread.

Vince, I still have that plate you sent me home with loaded with smoked salmon.
Call me anytime, I owe you a fishing trip.

Well, what started out as a thread about what happened to Vince has turned into a lecture on the proper usage of a PM. babble

Vince, like him or not (and I don't even know him), evidently poked his nose in and around places that he shouldn't have, and wasn't supposed to be.

Evidently he simply had no respect for another persons privacy, and felt it was just fine to open messages not intended for him, without permission.

I sure hope that some spingers show up or we get some good Butt and cunnilingcod pics from tomarrows opener. It seems that when fishing is slow or the rivers are blown out the posts get a little off of what we or at least what I think we are all here for. Fish porn and information. I am as guilty as anyone for stirring the pot occasionally, adolecent behavior and taking a jab or two once in a while, usually for entertainment purposes. I know I dont have to read the posts I dont want to but it's kinda like driving by a bad car wreck I know I should'nt look but I just cant help myself. I hope fishing picks up. Good luck -TBJ
