Gonna miss your words. Always did enjoy your writing. I will be sure to keep an eye out for any of your magazine articles. Your heart seemed to be in right place, as exemplified in your selfless actions for the well being of others. thumbs

Jerry got it right. You are a good man. I bet that's what the kids you took fishing would say as well. The kids that were ill that you took fishing and shared the experience with the board was special, and will never be forgotten by those that understand the meaning. cool Never met ya, but I am certain that you are a class act.

My point is that we have some people that don't know when to stop piling on, kind of reminds me of the movies where a guy has gotten the crap kicked out of him and has given up and the crowd has to keep kicking him.

Vince would crap if he saw what they did to his favorite hole on the little Salmon . His friends there are gone now and they made it privet property big time this year. That sucks, those were pretty cool old people that lived there.

I miss Vhawk and his humor and passion for fishing.

Plenty of the board's "characters" have gotten a little charred by the interplay on this board. Some have learned and adapted and others have burned out and withdrawn from the online playpen.

It's easy to say you don't give a rat's a$$ what people think, but when you're offering as much volunteer time helping others as Vince has I'm guessing he's wired a bit different than most.

Like many others, I hope the hawk posts again.

Just my .02,

Brian

In my opinion V-hawk is a skilled writer , If some of the negative comments in this post are accurate I bet he feels pretty bad. If they are in accurate I bet he feels worse. In any case I hope I run into him on a river one day. Pming is bs as a rule if you have something to say say it don't be a puss about it... moving along

From what I'm seeing here, the "victim card" is a card that Vince needs to put back in his pocket, and if anyone feels the need to blame someone for Vince not posting here much anymore, then why not ask the guy who's the only one with the ability to stop him from posting here...Vince.

Entertaining writer or not, he had no problem dishing it out when he thought it would garner him a laugh, or make his point for him, and if he can't take it back the same way, then perhaps it's better he not participate.

Fish on...

Todd

What's that song?

They smile in your face and all the time they want to take your place....The Back stabbers.. smirk

That song away had meaning for me, and reminds me that it's best to be careful of who you allow in your life. Especially some of the characters you can meet in a forum like this. Mix alcohol with it, as well as a little empty bullsh!t, and it will be difficult to determine a persons true character. beathead That is, until you feel the sharp blade sticking you in between your shoulder blades. That's why I'm real selective of who I choose to fish with, or anything else for that matter.

I'm sure a lot of good fishing holes were spoiled for the people that invited toxic individuals to their choice spots. zip Owning a fishing Rod, talking the fish talk, and catching fish, does not necessarily indicate a persons true character. That's an important lesson we soon learn from experience on the water.

Just hope that vhawk doesn't have to abandon many of his favorites spots in order to heal. Those back cuts can be slow to heal and they definitely with get your attention. lame

Yeah bunch of intoxicated, rod owning, back stabbing, fish hole stealers! But seriously I would hope no one would correlate someone's fish catching ability with a person's true character. You might as well stick your head in a sandshrimp hole.

Todd, you make a pretty good point. He could continue to post if he wanted. But, read back thru the thread and you'll see he posted one time to this. I don't see a victim card being played. That may be your interpretation and that of others. I don't see it that way. Just a guy who may want a change of scenery. Is it so bad that some of us would prefer having him post on this board while others go look for different pastures? I don't think so.

PM's are just that. Private. Intended for the person it was sent to as a form of personal dialogue. But, I know that quite a few of them have been passed around to others before being responded to. That's what I'd expect if passing a note around in high school, not what I'd expect from another adult.

You're right. Every time someone posts on here they continue to build a reputation. Usually those reputations, good or bad, are well earned.

Anyone here familiar with the concept of Minding Your Own Business? Go fishing people, this is rediculous. If you like Vince, go hang out with him wherever he is. If you don't, don't. In either case, Move On! This is beyond pointless.

...and JLH, once again, you have no idea what you're talking about. ho lame asshat moon

I have to agree with Bret on this one, this is lame. And from here on out, to further the lameness, let's see if we can either get it shut down, or to 100.
