It is my understanding that the "Position Statements" are those of the CCA PNW State Board and not just the Olympia Chapter.

Anyone from the State level care to chime in on this one?

Those were the exact position statements that were presented at the Columbia County CCA meeting last night here in St. Helens.

It is my understanding that they are the positions on the CCA N.W.

The position papers were generated by the state board members including established fishery biologists and other industry professionals, reviewed by the PNW and national oversight , and released for public consumption. These opinions and objectives are those of the organization as a whole, and CCA stands behind them. Some critical issues are still under advisement, so until any further public announcement, these are the only particulars that the CCA is ready to go to the mat over. But you can be assured that these will be pursued wholeheartedly by the national organization, as well as the PNW Chapter and your local chapters.

You can take the recent release to the bank, so if you're on the fence about joining, or just curious about what CCA really intends to accomplish, read the position papers, it's short and concise. I believe that this fair and reasonable approach will succeed, and membership will continue to explode.

Good by me then. Tomorrow I am signing up myself and the others in the famn Damily. To see someone finally going after ghost nets and derilick gear IMO is worth it. The 100 bucks I spend can fill the tank (ok, add enough to start the motor) on their next trip.

I have been on the fence for a long time but now that I see a position that I agree with its time to stop questioning and start supporting.

Go get em.

eek2 SportJet?!? thumbs

Very cool.. This is way more productive. Getting people on the same page, instead of us always trying to focus on our differences.

The things we could accomplish, if we spoke with one voice.

Sign your family up as Associate Members. It's only $15, rather than $25, and the only difference is you just get one set of magazines and other mailings per address. Put the other money aside for fund raisers. Membership dues go to the national office (which is good). All other money raised stays in state for our projects (which is better).
