.....from the ocean, all the way up here and into my boat. FInaly get one after two consective years with piss poor returns. I went out saturday and only got one pull off on the downrigger, I did not get to it fast enough. Tuesday, caught a native, and one pull off with no connection. I was wondering why I wasnt connecting when the downrigger popped. I thought it might be the hooks so I went and picked up some MEAN A$$ , Owner, Size 2, stinger treble hooks. Replaced the hooks on several lures, wrapped them up and went out this morning. One hour into it and bam, the downrigger popped and when I got to it, the fish was there on off he went. Those new hooks were the ticket, just burried the back treble in the corner of the mouth. I had never seen a fish bleed like that from hook wounds. Very, very, sharp hooks. The fish mesured 31" by IDFG, and on my un-official scale it was 14 pounds. Man, it was nice to have fresh fish for lunch.

Be prepared for a mad house on saturday. They have been adverstising a big salmon return all over the radios here. There were well over a hundred boats between flying J and the bridge, thats a lot for a thursday. The river is in good shape but might be gushing by sunday. In the valley we have high 80's expected today and 90's for the next three days. Hot days, warm nights, near record snow pack, she's going to do the spring flush soon. Those guys at Hells gate might have good reason to sleep off a couple extra brews.

Looks like I'm gonna be eating well this weekend, too! thumbs

Nice !!! I'm staying home. Rivers blowing out in a big way.. 100 ft trees floating down kinda way. Next week its game on.

Actually, T-birds on his way over. I'll show him around Boise. Maybe I can find a girl big enough to give him a lap dance at the Bikini bar.

I went back out for 3 hours this morning. River is ever increasing in debris and sediment, its going to blow bad buy Sunday. I split the scene at 9:00. I caught no fish but I saw three hooked and landed. I am doing excellent at catching Kwik fish. Two days in a row some yahoo has trolled into my anchor line. I offer to bring them the lure when I am done fishing but they say dont worry about it. Thanks for the free tackle.

Nice fish Parker
