McCain's actions are inexcusable. Re-read what the article says. McCain participated in the solicitation of money and favors for political gain, then he and the others attempted to scuttle the investigation into his buddy Keating's illegal activities. AGAIN, McCAIN ATTEMPTED TO SUBVERT THE LEGAL PROCESS OF THIS COUNTRY FOR HIS FRIEND, CHARLES KEATING, WHO IS A CONVICTED FELON DUE TO THIS MATTER!!!

McCain and the others were censured for their actions - now he's cheating on his taxes. It's pretty clear that he is not an ethical person and does not have the best interest of the "common person" in mind.

Wow - what a non-story. Most real estate investors do not pay their real estate taxes on time so this is as 'hot' a news story as Obama and his wife bumping fists or Rachel Ray's scarf in the Dunkin donuts ad. What a load of non-issue crap. As my Dad put it many years ago: "It's a loan I don't have to fill out out a loan app for and it doesn't show up on my credit report."
The name of the game in investing is 'capital retention'. Obviously, anyone who thinks somebody not paying their real estate taxes on time is worth mentioning either doesn't know anything about the subject or is stirring the pot for dregs on the bottom.
This got my morning off to a good laugh.

My point was that McCain engaged in illegal activity and got caught. Not paying your income tax is also "capital retention", but it's still illegal. Laugh all you want, McCain is demonstrating a clear behavioral pattern of disregarding the law.
