just wanted to see if there was anywhere from seattle to say like lynnwood, where there is an area to go crabbing that i can launch/row my Db out to drop pots and pick up ect. usually all my crabbing is done in sequim. but i am stuck on this side of the watter this weekend due to work. and thought i might get out for a bit saturday. also if theres any areas to wade and crab. but would more or less like a area i can row a few hundred yards out and drop some pots for the afternoon. PM's welcome also.
thankyou

For wading, I'd go to Richmond Beach and wade south towards Carkeek Park on a fairly low tide.

For potting out of your DB I'd switch species and would pot for crawdads (ditch meat) in Lake Washington or the Samammash Slough.

Good luck

I haven't tried on this side yet, but you could launch at Shilshole, and set traps out in front of the breakwater (north end, or by the sea lion cages). Lots of boat traffic and waves, but not too far of a row.

Troll king is right about crabs outside the breakwater at Shilshole. I've seen guys pulling pots and doing quite well...

If you go, please let us know how you do. All the guys I've talked to say is real slow in Hood Canal....
