Don Armeni ramp in West Seattle -- Saturday: 27 boats with 47 anglers caught nine chinook and five coho; Sunday: 31 boats with 62 anglers caught one chinook and seven coho.

Shilshole Bay ramp -- Saturday: 34 boats with 73 anglers caught three chinook, seven coho, one rockfish, 32 flounder and 10 dogfish.

Everett ramp -- Sunday: 20 boats with 44 anglers...

Rivers and lakes

whats up with this- "Cowlitz River -- Last week: 26 bank anglers caught no fish; 159 boat anglers caught 138 steelhead"

is it that big of an advantage??

thats funny...cause my buddie and his fishing group. from the bank around blue creek caught 23 steelhead in 2 days and got checked both days by the fish counter. and that was last week...and they seen quite a few others caught on the river from the bankies.

When we pulled out Sat at 11:00 the fish checker told me with our fish he had 6 chinook & 7 coho for 17 boats & there were alot of boats still out. Sounds to me like the paper is getting some bad info.

overall, unless you own a place on a killer drift on the cowlitz, the bank fishing has sucked for nearly 10 years. pitching 3oz of lead with 10 feet of leader into 20mph fastwater and ripping on every cast ain't fishing.
