Nothing for me. Maybe I'll get lucky on the next drawing. It usually takes atleast 2 before they are official, right?

Ya, it still shows the results aren't out yet but if you go to the above site it tell you the drawing has happened? I will wait for the official word in the mail.

According to the link above I drew deer and elk. With my luck that was only a "practice" drawing and really I didn't get squat!

Tjustin,

For yer sake I hope it's finall but for mine I hope it was a practice run like normal. Deer and Elk would be cool!!!!

As for neading a bunch of points to draw the good ones. Not so. my dad got a Toutle archery tag with only 3 points a few years ago. He's about do for another one now.

For me the last 3 drawings they have screwed up and I didn't get anything. Last year they some how gave me a new Wild ID and I was in the system with only 1point after the drawing. When it was all said and done they gave me all my points back plus 1 extra for each drawing I was in. They were sapose to have gotten rid of that new ID but when they screwed up with my multi season drawing this year I found out that it is still in the system!!! If they screw me this year I think I'm going to get a lawyer into it. I'm tired of this stuff. Allso make me want to buy 2 sets of tags and apply for drawings with both numbers. I know better but it does make me wounder how long it would take for them to find it.

I tried to draw some of the "trophy" bull permits for modern rifle for several years with no luck. I finally switched over to blackpowder. What a difference, hardly any hunters in the woods. Some units are just a joke anymore for Modern, ( you set up on a nice cut, and 5 other hunters might get the idea to set up 100yds away from you. BS.
WDFW needs to assess their special drawing procedures. Hearing about multiple Wild Id's just proves how inaccurate the system is. I've heard that there is a percentage of applicants drawn by points, and a small random percentage that gives hunters without points an opportunity. How would you know if you weren't one of those selected last year. This year I went in to buy a multi season application, and the final date had changed from 07, so I didn't even get a chance. (even though I should have checked with WDFW about the due date, I assumed that it would be near the same date.)
This year I applied for a margaret cow tag, and a mossyrock doe tag with 3 points on each. Hopefully that link is accurate. Meat for the family.

I have been hunting Idaho for 5 years now. I still hunt this state but I am almost to the point I want to hang it up and spend my money out of the state. I have hunted ML Elk for 3 years nowbefore that I hunted Archery and am sick of the lame choice in GMU's. They don't get much compared to the others. It's fine if you just want meat but then again where are all the extra cow tags for the St Hellens units. Archery and Modern got hundreds more and the ML guys got nothing. I don't care because I only hunt horns but why not let the ML guys get a pice of the pie. The more guys out shooting them cows the less guys shooting the bulls.

I spend the same amount on my 10 day Idaho deer hunt as I spend hunting deer in Wa each year. Every year I bring home meat and have 2 heads on the wall. 1 in the Idaho book. All without dealing with the WDFW!!!! Going to start looking into hunting Elk in Idaho as well.

sorry for the rant. I'm just sick of WDFW. If it wasn't for our fishing I would leave this state for good. but I like fishing to much.

My buddy got the Elk. he says it's one of the Blue Mnt. Archery units. Lucky SOB!!!!! He has done some scouting the last few years and has some awsome video of bulls 350-400 plus talking with him within bow range. He says he had 13 points and applied for the Blues because he had the Multi season tag this year.

If you are using the above link to view your results don't get to excited. If you look at the drwing date it is 5-30-08???? The submitting deadline wasn't until June 18th. Just like the last 3-4 years they can't seem to pull there heads out of the A$$!! Looks like another F'd up drawing.

I too am starting to hunt Idaho again. I hunted it for 8 years then quit for 4 now I'm going back. Can't wait for the end of October.

Don't count on the info when you guys short circuit the system, like you did last year. Yes, it looks like my older son drew a tag for deer, and we got blanked on everything else, but I am not telling him until I am sure of teh results.

Here's to hoping it is wrong.
