Nah, I'd perer a 3rd Bush term over either of the candidates we have now. Wouldn't that just be great....? A llot of my worries would just disappear.
My business is pretty much based on an average citizen who would like to recarpet their house every few years. Not necessarily buy a second home, or nice yacht, or anything too extravagent. Just something as simple as a small upgrade to their home. If Bush was in office for another term I could just forget about salvaging my company because the average citizen won't have enough money to drive to work much less put new carpet in their house every 10 years or so. Ya, gotta love the direction we're headed right now.
Boot.... You must be so proud of your party. Most of us just wish we were as enlightened as you so that we could see the utopia that is America right now.

MCain's economic plan is being panned as not adding up, literally 'Bush's third term', extend tax cuts, keep the wars going, maybe start another. No numbers or anything attatched to the 'balanced budget in 4 years' thingamabob he mush-mouthed his way through a while back...... ...........nobody is discussing McCain'ts plan, because there is no data or assumptions about the economy in it to discuss. Anyone else would have been laughed at for putting forth a 'plan' like this in speech with zero press release of the plan or numbers in the speech to back it up.............at least TRY and make it look like it has substance. Obama's TAX plan was reviewed in the WSJ, and as for all campaign plans, lacking in specificity as they do, the OP/ED opined that it 'probably' will add up. That involves tax cuts for the middle, and lower class tax payers, and some new exemptions for retiree's on Social Security. How that will work with his spending plans I don't know.................. But I do know that McCain't.................... .......................isn't going to be looking out a new set of windows anytime soon unless he gets it in gear a bit............. 'I'm Bush's Third Term ' 'We're Going To Have More Wars'...........'And The Jobs Aren't Coming Back' Which one do you like ? McCain't .........................

I'm certain you guys and gals have looked at www.johnmccain.com to focus on his campaign proposals. Some of the things I like and some I am unsure of. Ending subsidies for ethanol, sugar quotas and tariff barriers are a plus in my thinking. So is an end to the AMT. No more filling the SPR at high prices. The "holiday" for federal gas taxes is a stupid idea. Doubling the exemption for dependents is good. Lowering the corporate tax rate (Ireland did it and their economy is booming) is good. Reforming Social Security and Medicare (55 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities) should be tops on everyone's honeydo list. Reforming the tax code is another good idea. Requiring a 60% majority in Congress for any tax increases (much like what is done in many state legislatures) is a no-brainer. No new internet or cell phone taxes...all good. With the exception of doubling dependent exemptions and SPR halt, none of the McCain proposals will see the light of day in a Democrat controlled Congress. That's too bad. I'm an unapologetic supply-side quasi-conservative and to me, these things make sense. Now if we could get someone that will end the taxing of Social Security benefits ( a tax on a tax) I'll rally 'round that flag too.

The Republicans always find a way to screw up the economy. Never fails. It's called deficit spending. Promise everybody a big tax break. Don't worry we've got enough money to fight two wars. Don't whine about the economy. McCain more of the same. At least Obama is smart enough to know it. Deficit double with McCain

I acutally think we have two goood men running. Unfortunatly neither should be president. Obama lacks expirence and McCain is too damn old.
Flame away if you wish, but I am in excellent health, work out regularly and am too damn old to work 14 hour days seven days a week. So is McCain. I would have voted for him ten years ago. I think he's one of the best men to run recently. Hes' so much better than Bush there is simply no comparison. But he's too damn old!

Here's Governor Sanford, who is on McCain's short list for VP running mate, explaining why McCain's economic plans are so much different than the disastrous plans that BushCorp has implemented... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFEw0TNrUd8What a jackass, potential running mate to another one...all adding up to Bush Term III, and nothing else. Fish on... Todd

I would have to agree...those two minutes of idiocy will likely make Mr. Sanford's career top out as Governor...he won't likely be getting anywhere near the White House this time around, at least...
Fish on...
Todd

It will take the Democrats years to clean up Bush's mess.
