Damn nice fish redside. No matter how you got him feel good about. Not to many that size come out of the sound. Especially hatchery fish.

I gotta say though, it's usually a plug that gets the big uns.

Wow Redside! Freakin toad. That is a fish that doesn't happen often on the sound.
Nice work!

Got out last night, went 2 for 2. Big one was 12, small one was 6. Thought the small one might have been a BM but she had eggs that were maturing.

The fish seem to be spreading out through the Sound, time to fish close to home smile

Lowedown, those T shirts have brought great luck to me and my fisherman as well. I talked to Peter, If he ever lays down the pipe for a while he will produce more t shirts.

unlucky anglers need not apply:)

Fished PNP last nite and this morning, hit a 14# dead fish(hatch King) last nite and a 13# this morning (Ole Blue comes through again). Lost one nice one to a seal this am. Where did all the damn seals come from, there must have been 20 of them out there, about twice as many boats (when will the Grady guys learn how to drive?). Saw a few other nets fly and my buddy picked up a nice 15# hatch King, BONK. Lots of dogs in the dark at the am low.
7 trips out, 7 Kings in the box, the new boat fishes well. Good luck

Quota update through 24th approx 2100+ with 1800+ of those taken from MA 9. Once 4000 get taken in 9 then it gets shut down and all the pressure will move to 10 to finish off the 3000 quota there. Im guessing August 3 shutdown in MA 9 and August 11 for MA 10...cheers

I would say that the 9 quota is going to go fast. There have been more fish moving in as of late and the fish that were located in north 9 have more than likely dispersed to other heavily fished areas (Possesion, PNP). Catch rates should be up along with the crowds this weekend, I don't see it lasting much past the middle of next week.

I disagree with tmr360 I've been fishing almost everyday since the opener at Pt no Pt and I'm getting nothing but WILD I was out there today for the afternoon low tide and only saw one other net fly. We got a 18-20 lb wild. I hope it will last a couple of weeks. If it does close there are alot of coho out there should be a good year for them.

Will do Stam, how about blue? As far as the king numbers through thursday we are a little over 30% of the quota. I would expect the fishery to run into August, unless there is a huge increase in fish catching.
