Went to Blake Island with the kids for the night on Thursday and picked up a 5lb silver off restoration point off Bainbridge on the way home.

One note...there was a bunch of bait off the nortwest point of Blake Island. Fished through it for a couple hours with no luck.

Fished Yeomalt last night with no take downs and didn't see any nets from the other 3-4 boats either. Didn't see a speck of bait either.

Gilly - Sounds good. I was talking about the plan he had for bringing some of his "friends" out to fish with us again.... You know the ones I mean.

Oh yes I forgot about his movie star friends smile

Chris capitalized on his bites today to get some of his first nookie.

We had a few we missed and a few coho landed as well. I talked with a fish checker this morning he had contacted 65 boats for 15 fish, and 2 were ours.

Hey piscators. I am a new member but have been lurking for some time. I am also Speyguys brother in law. Taught him everything he knows but that ain't sayin' much. This a.m. I finally found some fish. Previous 3 trips had only yielded silvers and one nice king lost but never seen. Fished PNP/Skunk bay from 5 am with no results. Saw no nets. After the ebb, switched to south of PNP and Pilot Point. A very few fish there but none for us. Dropped my friend off in Kingston at 9 and went back out south hoping for a silver or 2 for dinner. Put the gear at 40 feet with an ace hi fly behind an 8 inch uv flasher in 240 feet and got lit up right away by a 10 lb. hatchery chinook. In the next 45 minutes I missed a solid takedown and finished with a 17 1/2 hatchery hen. Weights on the Kingston fishchecker scale. Going again tomorrow. Yahoo.

Got a late start at Jeff Head today, fished deep (140 - 160). Got a nice takedown on my ace high right after I started and thought things were off to a good start....not so. Been tough going so far, 5 trips and one keeper. Gonna be out there again in the morning, hope it goes better.

Hit Possesion Saturday for a couple of hours, one nice hit and a miss and that was it.... Lots of boats, didn't see a net out all morning. I did see the fish cops working the everett ramp checking crab, the guy on the other side of the dock was doing the "I left my license at home, I thought you could measure from point to point, isn't the limit 6 crab each?" dance. Dont know if he got a ticket, but he should have when they checked the boat and found the crab stashed under the seat the the guy "forgot" about.

Back to work this week, so the tally for me is 6 days out, 2 silvers, one wild king, one king donated to the seal food bank. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but that is why it is called fishing not catching...

Nice fish. We hit PnP from 6am to 10am today for one wild in the mid teens that was cut loose. That fish came on a hot spot and gr/wh coyote right on the bottom.

Only heard and seen a couple other nets fly. Pretty slow there still overall.

Moved to Possession West Side and fished for another hour. Got one 10lb blackie and never seen another net there. In fact there was only about 6 other boats there besides us. That speaks volumes for what is happening out there.

Good luck to those out over the next couple days. I will be back out mid week.

I fished Mid Channel bank today (Sunday) and there is still tons of bait all over the this area. We launched at Keystone at 5AM and were fishing by 5:30.

First fish was a 10# hatchery chinook at about 6:30 a.m.

second fish I lost with a broken leader. The dogfish may have nicked my leader and it failed about 2/3 of the way up.

That was it for the day. VERY Busy w/ fisherman but the bait and occasional hit kept us on the bank until Noon... Fish were caught, but I only saw 4 go in the net total today

Lots of dogfish - even following your DR balls up to the surface.

I'm off to Cape May for a week of visiting my wife's family and fishing for summer flounder aboard the Porgy IV -

Kill the quota while I am gone!

I started out on 7/26 at PNP. Marked tons of fish, tons of bait, but caught nothing. Moved up to Mid-channel, didn't see much in the way of bait, but caught plenty of dog fish at various speeds. Finally stopped on the West side of Possession before heading in. Managed to get one 22.5" keeper and 2 half eaten flounder. The green splatterback flasher and the purple UV hootchie was the magic combination for me.

6 pages from the top? Whats up with that? I'll bring it back to the top. We just got home from Port Townsend about this afternoon. Fished for the last 3 days. Saturday got to town around 11 hooked and released 3 fish by the early afternoon, all unclipped fish(2 nooks one coho) Saturday, 6 fish all clipped (2 coho 4 nooks but one was sublegal) one lost downrigger ball and one broken transducer. Fished by brail this morning for about 2 hours till i couldnt stand it anymore. lost two fish not sure what they were. If you didnt check gear every 10 mins it was a guaranteed flounder or juvenile blackmouth. Only made two passes at MCB. With the tides it just didnt do it for me. Fished around Marrowstone Island.

Hit PNP this am, landed 3 clipped Kings, 10#, 15# and a 21# for IrishRogue. Excellent morning on the water(I'm sure he'll post the pic when I get it to him).
Went to E Bay Friday morning with Summerrun and hit 3 as well, 10#, 14# and a barely legal clipped King.
New boat is still fishing awesome . ... . ... . .

Nookie, its not just for breakfast any more.

EBAY sucked last weekend.

Went out two times in the afternoons till dark, to avoid the morning crowds and haven't seen one fish caught. Will have to join the morning armada on Friday.
