looking for a curado 101. new or old model. i fish 8lb line on my curado/imx setup and the curado 201 hold well...300yds of 8lb line. i do not and never will run backing so this is kinda of a problem for me.

i need a smaller reel...and the curado 101 is perfect.

will also take a smaller calcuta

ive had bad luck withebay. and craigslists is bone dry right now.

just a question, why wont you run backing on it? fill the spool 1/2 way with different line, and fill the other 1/2 with what you use for mainline. saves line too.

because whem im fishing a place like say the puy or the skok and im breaking off alot of line. or the bottum is really bad on the line i end up retieing alot and ill get way down into the spool and i have had fish spool me past those knots and i dont trust them at all. lost a 20+lb steelhead due to that and wont give that chance again. PLUS i use izor and its cheap.

its all good...my dad always tells me to run backing. i use to too but after that one bad run and loosing a once in a life time fish i cant see risking it when the line i use is so cheap.
