Taking the wife and another couple camping on the Hoh. We plan on doing some fly fishing for the Cutthroats in the Bogachiel one of the days. I would greatly appreciate any advice on what patterns/sizes to pack along with us. Thx!

I'd think any sort of smaller soft hackle swung would work also, in addition to thopse D3 listed.

Silver Hilton or Burlap might be worth a swing too................

Good suggestions, but don't forget dries. Sea-run cutthroat are highly aggressive and opportunistic feeders. If there's any kind of hatch going on try to match it, and try waked patterns like the Muddler, the Bulkley Mouse or Harry Lemire's Greaseliner. When hatches of Blue Winged Olives become more prolific in the late summer and fall there are few experiences that can match watching a size 20 BWO imitation disappear into a tiny dimple on the surface that turns into a 17-inch cutthroat. And then there's always the October Caddis.
