Is SP like the contemporary Pogo of our times? Never watched it. Is it political satire or something? I heard favorable remarks about it once before but haven't been curious enough to find out when it's on, what channel, etc.

I sadly have to say I have seen it a few times. Nothing neocon about the episodes I watched as they blew up a church and had a child molestor running the congregation. The other one had trent lott as a racist getting a beat down by some people of color. I think they are equal opt offenders and noone is out of bounds. One of those shows you done want your kids turning on......Funny though, in a turn your head to not watch sort of way.

Comedy network Steve. It's grown up humor using 5th graders and the rest of a small town to pick on each and every group out there. Funny chit for sure.
I think the Mormon episode may be my favorite.
I agree with docspud in that I don't let my 4th grader watch it.

Definitely no holds barred. In its own way, the show is Like George Carlin, pointing out the absurdities of everything.

Foresight is the best form damage control. We let Sherry's 6-year old Jacob watch Austin Powers awhile back. He must have liked Dr. Evil's "mini," because I was disiplining him a couple days later and he flipped me the middle finger and said, "You're fired."

Times have changed:) Can't promote beating kids anymore. Besides, I got a promotion at work, I am doing social work now with families in the community and I am a mandated reporter:)

Tim forgot to mention that my 6 year old has special needs. He was born prematurely and is a little developmentally delayed but you really cant tell unless I tell someone. He acts like an average 6 year old boy:) Rotten and sweet all wrapped up in one. He has come a long way! He happened to sneak in with the older kids to watch Austin Powers the weekend we went snowboarding up at Baker. We caught him and got him out of the room...but not in time for him to repeat what he had heard from the movie.
