well after lookin around and finding something in my price range i landed on the howa legacy with synthetic stock and blued barrel in a .300 win mag.

Anyone here shot the Marlin XL7? A few people I know have and loved them. Prise is good too.Any thoughts on this rifle?

FWIW BS recommended the .277 TTSX 110 gr. @ 3400 fps for anything, elk included. break a shoulder, trash the boiler room, leave a big hole on the far side.... What's not to like?


I'm also a fan of those Barnes total copper bullets. I have yet to load any up for my 6.8 SPC, but I have a few of those on the bench, just waiting.
