I just would like to thank "STAM" for getting me out of my summer salmon fishin slump. Here's the story.Since last may during springer season I haven't touched a salmon in three trips.Trip #1 westport boated 6 keeper kings in july the captain caught 4 other buddy caught 2 me 0.Trip#2 bouy-10 on saturday the 23rd boat got 5 me 0.Trip #3 bouy-10 the 24th boat got 4 me 0.Stam had given me a EAR hat when we went out for tuna in july but I told him that I wouldn't wear until need be,He agreed so I kept wearing my lami hat.Well I finally had enough of not touching jack $hit.Got back down to fish bouy-10 after the king closure for some ho ho fishin on the 27th I switched hats over to the EAR hat and "BAM" started hittin fish right away. The 27th the boat got 7 fish and 2 were mine then the 28th the boat got 6 and 2 were mine. The slump is over for now and I owe it all too that E.A.R. hat.Maybe I'll even get a pic of it up soon.Good luck,

You're mistaken my friend, you didn't do squat-all until you put on the E.A.R. hat, remember this train wreck?

That wasn't a train wreck, just a bad NIGHT to be on the river. Besides, Bob wouldn't let me wear the straw hat a second day, the only other hat I had was the E.A.R. hat. I need a "got lime" hat--that was the lucky one!

KK's lucky hat. I suspect that he left it hangin' right here to appease the river gods after another wonderful day on the river.....

I'd say the Stam hats and the Bucket hats have accounted for more fish in the box than any others I have seen on this board.

Or maybe it's just the excellent fishermen wearing them?

I put a EAR hat on and went out to the river and not a f'n thing happened.

Then I wondered if you had to fish for the thing to work.

I think the "miracle hat" thing might be a slight exaggeration. wink

I have an EAR hat...haven't worn it fishing yet...I guess I haven't needed to, at least not yet.

Maybe I will need to, and when the time comes, I'll give it a shot.

Otherwise, maybe I'll put it up for auction and take the money and go buy a vacation home in a warm and tropical place some day.

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. Hank, "E.A.R." is "Enumclaw Auto Rebuild", Stam's home away from home.
