Yikes I am slow these days. Never heard of twilight and I ate the "bella burger" thinking it must have been the owners name. Just a little removed from the teenage stuff I guess.

So wait, young women from all over the world are visiting Forks? How can you be tired of this Mark?
Get yourself a "I'm a Vampire" t-shirt and practice your skilz.

I wasn't aware of the books until my 12 year old Granddaughter from Houston asked me if I knew where Forks and LaPush were. Huh?
She then went on to tell me about the books. She was thrilled that not only did I know where it was, that I had actually been to Forks, LaPush and First Beach, and knew people out there.
My wife, who is a book seller, filled me as to the whole "Potteresque" phenomenon. We sent our GD a bunch of t-shirts etc. from there.
So now Forks is on the national radar and folks are coming to see what's in mentioned in the book. Ride the wave, Forks, because it probably last until the next teen book stirs the imagination.

Yeah it totally sucks that there is 100s and even a few thousand people coming to forks, and when they are their they spend their money on hotels, gas, food, and everything else you could think of,what a bummer that is for the town of forks and the economy.

I would gladly spend a weekend at the Forks town line watching the looks of crushing disappointment on the faces of those book fans as they come rolling into town and catch a glimpse of Forks for the first time.

You got it Mark. You can go after the young ones and I'll go after the moms. I'm realistic.
I found one for you by the way. I fished the ditch yesterday and made my customary stop at the Rexville Grocery to buy some weird canned mustards and mayos and smoked god knows what. After that we stopped at a corn stand. There was the hottest little 18-19 year old there. It was painful to know I had no chance. Guy I was with was 30 and knew he had no chance either.

Is that the corn field right across from the Shell station before you start up the hill on I5? In good weather they wear bikini tops. I think it helps to seel more corn.

Nope. Left at the Shell and then a right after you go over I 5 like you are going to Conway.
Actually this was a nice family that was just hanging out at the place (they have a honor box you put your $ into). The whole family was totally cool and gave us free cooked corn with butter and carrots. The daughter was simply hot.
The dad figured out we were fisherman and also gave some timely advice. Nice.

And Parker swings for the fence! Don't let 'em get away with it Dave. Waiting for the comeback . . .

Actually this whole hot young chick thing is getting to me. Probably because they're younger than my kids. All the time I'm seeing MILFs and even GILFs and I'm wondering what the heck is happenin' to me.

LOL. I don't have a comeback for that Steve or for you Parker...
I'll have to admit that was a slow pitch down the middle.
