Yikes I am slow these days. Never heard of twilight and I ate the "bella burger" thinking it must have been the owners name. Just a little removed from the teenage stuff I guess.

I wasn't aware of the books until my 12 year old Granddaughter from Houston asked me if I knew where Forks and LaPush were. Huh? She then went on to tell me about the books. She was thrilled that not only did I know where it was, that I had actually been to Forks, LaPush and First Beach, and knew people out there. My wife, who is a book seller, filled me as to the whole "Potteresque" phenomenon. We sent our GD a bunch of t-shirts etc. from there. So now Forks is on the national radar and folks are coming to see what's in mentioned in the book. Ride the wave, Forks, because it probably last until the next teen book stirs the imagination.

Yeah it totally sucks that there is 100s and even a few thousand people coming to forks, and when they are their they spend their money on hotels, gas, food, and everything else you could think of,what a bummer that is for the town of forks and the economy.

Is that the corn field right across from the Shell station before you start up the hill on I5? In good weather they wear bikini tops. I think it helps to seel more corn.

The dad figured out we were fisherman and also gave some timely advice. By chance was that "Lay off the booze, get a damn job and quit eye-farkin' my daughter you old pervert?" Sorry, you set that one up too good for me to resist! I had to hit that one out of the parker.

Back on topic. Out on the QIN reservation one of the former tribal cops,(also a guide) said he used to run off people out that were having some sort of ceremonies out on the beaches. He thought they were either witches or satin worshipers.

<Insert image of Rod Sterling here> While posting on Piscatorial Pursuits from the carefree comfort of their own homes, these men of fatherly age, and some well beyond, share images and stories of nubile vixens, reminiscing of their experiences with such mysterious creatures and what materialized over time. Other men invoke the names of Obama, Biden, McCain, Palin, Paulson, Bush, Bernanke and other public actors for financial salvation when the new previews are strange and frightful at Lehman, Fannie, Freddie and other public theaters. Still other men leave their families, homes and computers behind to travel to the small coastal town of Forks to satisfy their piscatorial and other pursuits... but there is something strange about many of the people there and the things recently available to them at the local restaurants, hotels and gas stations. And what sits knowingly in the shadows beneath a certain moonlit tree of that once peaceful little town. Perhaps these men, and everyone else, are in the Twilight Zone....
