I'm selling an old Fenwick Feralite Flyrod, origionally made by Algonquin Blanchard. I dont know much about this rod except that it was origionally made in the 1940's and that this particular rod is wildly popular with Japanese Collectors..... Dont really know why, just that all the websites I found pertaining to this rod were all in Japanese and that the only thing I could find in English said that these rods were quite popular with collectors in Japan. The rod is 8ft long, the model is an FF 79, if that means anything, it comes in an old, leather, zippered case that obviously came with the rod.... It has all the same markings as the rod. the rod is in good shape and doesnt appear to have ever been used. I dont know what the rod is worth, I'm guessing $100.00 OBO. Give me a shout at 253-353-9330.

I'm no expert, but my books on old flyrods estimate anwhere from 75-100, depending on condition.

When assessing the value of old fly rods it bears keeping in mind that there were lots of them made, and like all fishing tackle only a very small percentage of the tackle was 'ultra high end' and worth the big bucks.

Why a Gillum rod is worth thousands and thousands, and a basic Montague can be had for 20 bucks.
