I also listened to songs of praise for Obama yesterday. It is scary anytime someone worships another person, regardless of ideology. Brainwashing the youth is exactly how Hilter started. It was the same with communist Russia. Look at North Korea, they are starving to death and still have praise of their leader. Ever hear the phrase, Power corrupts and Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I hated hearing unquestionable praise for Bush and I am scared to death of what is happening with Obama. And yes, I did hear republicans doing the same thing for Bush. That's how we ended up with the Patriot Act. How many times did we hear that anyone questioning it was unpatriotic and that we had nothing to worry about since the law only would effect terrorists? I guess my fear of Obama is that it seems to be more wide spread and more unquestioning, seeing as this unquestionable praise is coming before he actually has done anything. I would guess that means what ever he does will be fine with them. The praise seems to even go overseas. With a democratic majority in the congress, it gets scarier. What will this following be like if he actually gets elected and is a great president? Will we be able to stop him when he does get out of control? The more I hear him praised and compared to Jesus, Ghandi, JFK and M.L.King, the more I feel like I don't want him in power. It not that I don't think he could be great, its that I don't agree with his base believes and fear that he will be able to use his power to do things that none of us think is possible. I never thought Bush would be able to do what he has done, and he isn't even liked or have a majority.
