What do you think this is, grading on a curve ?

What is interesting today and actually typical of surprise Fed rate cuts is that mortgage rates got hammered today. Up at least 25BPS if not more, here come the calls from clients wanting to know how much better mortgage rates are and I have to explain that they actually went up significantly... The Fed Rate cut today and the markets reaction is nothing more than another example of the increasing Impotence of the Fed & Paulson to turn this crisis around. A failing monetary system can't be fixed with interest rate cuts & infusions of more cash, cash made from thin air by the Fed.

Yuup, Change is coming. I can hardly wait for my middle class rebate. That'll make it better. National Debt just hit the 10 Trill mark...going to have to add digit spaces to the reader board. More money will solve it. Yeah, that's it.

Asian markets are down nearly 10%, both the bond and stock markets got hammered today which happened yesterday as well. Usually they run opposite of each other, it seems like alot of money is moving under the mattress until this thing gets under control.
