Who said it did? ALL politicians associate with persons of questionable backgrounds, mainly because those people have deep pockets from which campaign funding comes. Its all about the money. Besides, did Liddy and North belong to terrorist organiaztions? The first portion of your post points to hyprocrisy, then, by inferring Obama is unfit to be elected because of his associations, yet ignoring McCain's by omission. Liddy simply committed arguably treasonous acts, yet North supported our enemies--which are terrorists--with arms sales. Perhaps the same arms that are killing members of our armed forces today. By definition, Ayers did not belong to a terrorist organization either; he was a radical activist of an anti-war organization.

Bottom line , Obama is unfit because he is UNQUALIFIED.. not because of who his friends are, and not because of the color of his skin. You may think he is qualified, but I see him as merely "Present!" 142 days as a Jr Senator does'nt make him qualified for squat. Those peace loving hippie radical activists bombed american soil. Was Vietnam a just war? NO! But the lefty radicals decided that the only way to demonstrate peace and love was to bomb! I'd call that pretzel logic AND hypocrisy. "Flower Power" with a vengeance.

Did Liddy run for office??? Not that I am aware of.When you you say our enemies, do you mean Iran? North got caught up in double dealings yes, but remember he was arming Iran, who was at that time our friend. Remember the old saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend?" Iran was embroiled in a war with Iraq at the time. Even with the arms we provided, Iran still got their lunch handed to them.

I think you need to go check your history books, there ND. Iraq was our friend then and we convinced them to attack Iran. We gave weapons to Iraq, a la Rumsfeld, which ironically they used against us in the early 90's.

I get it enough to know, and I 'll say it again , Obammy is NOT QUALIFIED TO BE WITHIN 1,000 MILES OF THE NUCLEAR FOOTBALL! And for the sake of argument. NEITHER IS MCCAIN!!! That being said I'm voting for Ron Paul.
During all of this horsesh*t, I have only stated that McCain is better qualified than Obammy, But I have never said who I would vote for. Well, there you have it. If it happens that Obammy ends up winning, I hope you staunch supporters enjoy the ensuing tea-bagging that is sure to follow.

First, let me say this..I applaud you KK  for having the guts to stand alone, without ToddBama here to lend you moral support. Second, I must ask, when did I claim to be a Republican? I have no loyalty to any political party, I vote for the candidate MOST QUALIFIED, regardless of affiliation. As it stands, none are qualified to lead us out of the morass that we now find ourselves in, but I will still vote for the MOST QUALIFIED, and that candidate is not OBAMMY!!! Oh and as a minority? I take that as one of the few free thinking logical minds left.

Hank, in case you hadn't noticed, liberal is no longer a pejorative in the American Political Lexicon...........  I mean, sure it is on Fox, but that's about it these days. Not only that, many of the Hosue, and a few of the Senate Dem pickups were by 'moderate' Dems in swing states. The House class of 2006 seems to be holding those seats just fine, many crusing to victory this year, and of course a few very close races also. But only a few. Calling Democratic candidates 'liberals' is actually what lost the GOP many House seats in 2006. Post poll interviews tended to show that in many cases, the voters knew the candidates from previous statewide elections, and KNEW they weren't liberals, just Dems. They knew they were being lied to by the GOP, and it's respective candidates, and resented it. They voted for in many cases, people who ran on a platform of 'change', back in 2006. Another aside here, House polling always shows that voters like their Representative, even if giving Congress a negative rating. re election rates are high, until the electorate starts to swing, then they dip, and return to the previous 'stable' levels of re election. Every single Dem that has run for election for well over 30 years has been tarred as 'the most liberal' whatever. Sen., Gov, doesn't matter, some how they were all 'the most liberal' If Clinton had won the primary, she'd have been 'the most liberal', instead of Obama. Same would have been true of anyone. It doesn't wash anymore, another thing interviewed voters have started to say more and more over the last few election cycles. Did you miss my post translating Repug innuendo?

The voting record of Obama supports his "Most Liberal" label and that being said, I could never vote for him. His thinking runs too Socialist for my liking.

KK........I am beginning to doubt McCain really wants to win anymore frankly.
I think you are correct.
I also think that only an obsessed ego maniac would want the job considering the economic times. So while I'm not sure you intended it, it really comes out as a compliment in McCain's favor.
Here's a prediction for you. Before the next four years pass, the draft is reactivated by the Dem's with most deployment occurring right here...."for your protection". That is, of course, if we aren't fully engaged elsewhere with powers that likely will be viewing us as a big France.
Sorry state of affairs akin to mob mentality where the IQ falls to the lowest common denominator.
Don't worry tho.....it'll be someone else's fault.

There is one guarantee: Our next president will be a lying megalomaniac who will conveniently forget 50% of the campaign trail promises he is now making. And "his side" will defend everything he does while blaming the "other side" for every failure. There will be shady associations from his past that the "other side" will try to exploit and "his side" will try feverishly to sweep them under the rug while pointing various digits at the other side. This is politics in America. These are politicians in America. You have to possess 3 to 5 serious character flaws to even WANT that job, or any high-ranking office, in the first place. We get who we deserve. Cult of personality, fear and self-loathing. The attack ads are ridiculous, but are as funny as a SNL skit if you look through the rhetoric at the sick, childish psychological attempts to "persuade" that drive them. Pick your puppy from a weak litter...........try to go for what you feel is the best of a poor lot. But please don't try to sell him/her as Prince Charming and the other guy as the devil incarnate. We're not that stupid. Wait..........we are...........
