Rained like hell this morning so we got a late start to opening of quail, huns, and chukar. First spot, didn't flush a thing, although we heard some across the slough (no wadders). Second spot, the dog flushed every single pheasant in our path (about 10). Not one single covey of quaill. Started raining again so I said F it and I'll try middle of the week or so.

Where did you hunt, Colton area or Asotin area. I jut want to know what the bird numbers are like in Pullman.

BTW, J 7 you need to plan a fishin trip to the Grande Ronde this year. You will not be dissapointed.

I dont think it was location and more due to bad weather (Asotin area). I haven't been hunting around Pullman for a while, so I'm not sure how the birds are that way. I have been helping a friend do some muzz. deer hunting this week. Hopefully I will hit the bird hunting after the rifle deer hunters tromp around.

Yeah I want to get down to the Grande Rhonde this year. I went last year real late in the season but did not get any. There are a lot of fish moving up the Snake. It looked like a small city of campers and boat trailers at Heller Bar (Monday).

Go to Schumaker grade in December and Bogans in January. There are very few people this time of year and the fish are spread out between the two places and above to the border.

I am going to Pullman tomorrow for deer opener should be interesting.
