I went to the upper Toutle this morning. Totally puked out. I went on around to the hatchery on the Green. I landed 3 on eggs ,they were all darker hens and released. Most of the fish are lumped together just at the mouth where it runs into the Toutle. As you can imagine, it is a cast and jerk show into the dark masses. Most "fishermen " are using long leaders with a small corkie or yarn and most fish swim in backwards. I did see several very bright fish landed and kept along with some fire engines. Most of the snagged fish were kept. I put a call into WDFG to see if they can run an officer or 2 up there this week-end.
