I've been fishing my usual haunts and have not seen very many silvers at all so far this year?....Is the Snoho blocked up with nets?....How has the sound been?..Anyone else north or south of the Snohomish?....

Hooked 5 on Wed. right at the high from the rain, only had about a foot of visibilty so not the best conditions. One fish did have many net marks. The other issue were Seals, they are everywhere in the Snohomish. Had one just downstream from the 522 bridge most all morning.

Fished yesterday (Fri) from 522 down to Douglas Bar...........really quiet, one silver, lousy fight. Saw probably 20-25 boats, never saw a net out. Should have been perfect conditions, river dropping into great shape, etc. It was kind of weird out there........quiet and dead. Won't go again until some fish show up hopefully.

The silvers in MA 13 appear to only hone in to certain sites. As the season changes the amount of variety is surprizing.
My friends think I'm crazy going locally. I have to give this a shot. Unfortunately the Remote Site Incubater fish are not marked.

I address this as going bowling. I don't loose sleep living with releasing, alive the majority of my catch. I don't eat the score.
This is IMHO more a lifestile choice.

Blocked with nets?????? Come to Grays Harbor and see "blocked with nets"......big time.........

Non- Indians gill netters just got off 3 days, 7am- 7pm.....from above the bridge, way past the airport......word is "THEY KILLED THEM", I also heard that the biggest percentage were "wild silvers". Sports are only allow 1 wild and 1 hatchery, and there are very few hatchery silvers being caught.

Think its time to eliminate the non-indian/white gill netters from the Chehalis River......The system can't stand 2 users gill netting groups, working on decreaseing runs of fish.

Oh....QIN/tribe goes in 10/12 at noon, until 10/15 at noon and next week its 10/19 at noon until 10/21 at noon...........and they get to keep "anything" except green sturgeon.........wow, how fair is that????

Me thinks that Region 6, sleeps with the commericals!!!!!!

I sent that dirtbag a letter last year, and all he had to say was that he has always supported sport fishing. But he seems to have a huge supporting market of commercials.

Makes me sick how hard they net the Chehalis system. Last year for some reason the nets weren't in for a 1 month period and you could actually go out and catch some decent fish. With the nets in a guy may as well take up golf or just go hunting I guess.

How can it stop?......Really ,what can we do?.....How long can the fishery last before the salmon are GONE?...I do not want my kids to have to turn on the Discovery channel to see what a salmon looks like in the future!....
