I just inherited a 65# recurve from my grandfather.

He actually died in 1992, but my uncle's had it all this time, and it turns out his son (my cousin) is a lil light in the loafers and won't be taking up outdoorsmanship in this lifetime.

I wasn't sure if the thing was even useful anymore so I took it to Cabela's to have it checked out. Turns out the thing is some handmade custom job in nearly mint condition.

I wouldn't mind learning how to use it better than hitting a wall at 20 feet..

Does anyone know of an indoor range in or around Olympia? I drove by that Olympic Archery place on Blacklake but it was shuttered and closed.

By far the best place around is KBH archery but it is a bit of a drive. It is on 50 acres and has indoor and out door range. They also have a 28 target set up through the woods. Very cool and worth the drive. It is in Belfare area so probably about 45min from you. Check out the website for the address(kbharchery.com I think). I believe it is only $5 for as much shooting as you can do. Again well worth the trip.

I have been hearing good stuff about a new archery shop in Chehalis off Coal Creek Road. another shop is out in Ranier and is sapose to be an o.k. shop.

The shop in chehalis is lucky shot archery (360-740-7464) it is by far the best shop I have ever been to. Great guys to work with and super helpful, indoor range to 35 yards and outdoor range to 130 I believe.
