After seeing there was another ship high jacked off the coast of Somalia yesterday,I wonder why they don't have an armed escort "on board" instead of just ships and planes? It would seem that if the bad guys were greeted with a couple of M-60's and L.A.W.'s that the word would get out pretty quick about the dangers involved in attempting to do this. If I was a ship owner in this area I would jump at the opportunity to help secure my shipment.

The US and Brit Navies are in that area doing interdiction when they can but most often pirates are blow radar and run around on jet skis with RPG's and AK's.

Sounds like a great place to live, wish I were there.....

This morning's paper reported that pirates hijacked a Saudi oil tanker over 400 miles off the coast of Somalia. These dudes are getting good. How the hell do you hijack an oil tanker on a jetski, RPG or not?
