I was wondering if anyone could give me some directions to some good Hot springs near Port Townsend. I thought I would suprise my girlfriend on Valentines day with a trip to the Olympics for a nice soak. Hopefully we wont have to deal with snow. Is this time of year even worth it or are they not even warm right now? I was looking for something not too far off the beaten path but also not so close where the tub will be full of naked hippis. Thanks.

Is there still a car ferry out of keystone or is it passenger only now

The closest I know of are the Olympic hot springs over off the Elwa.

Beware of the indigenous Olympic mountain hippies though.

You can usually find them here during the rutting season.

Theres the Olympic Hot Springs that are packed full of naked dreadlocked hippies, and then the Sol Duc Hot Springs, which are full of asian tourists.

The olympic hot springs are natural hot springs....hence the hippies. it is a pretty long hike in the snow this time of year. The sol duc hot springs are man made....not very exciting. at least you wont have to see naked hippies....unless of course you are into that sort of thing.

I think they closed Sol Duc hot springs. My buddies wife was the manager and they all got laid off a year or two ago.

Who cares about Hippies...have any cougs been in the water?

More then you can imagine, cougs ran the place for a while, I can remember one time when six of us cougs were in it at one time!

Its not the Hippies you have to worry about just make sure you get to soak before a squatch gets in there first......

I don't mind the hippies at all. I had a friend take me there about five years ago but I can't remember how to get there. We were in a small hot spring up the hill from from another one closer to the trail. Two hippi gals stripped ass naked and jumped in, they had no idea we were up the hill because we were submerged where they couldn't see us. I'd love to know how to get there again if anyone from the peanut gallery could tell me. I'm pretty sure it was the Olympic Hot Springs. The Hot spring we were in was natural.

do you know where the elwah river is? follow it up the mountain....drive as far as you can up the windy ass road, find the parking lot, park.....contiue up the trail for some naked hippie chick watching. i think renting a naked hippie chick dvd would be easier for you.
