Behold, a stolen image of a Benelli Montefeltro 20 gauge.
(I was too lazy to take a pic, upload, post, upload and re-post so I just stole one for demo purposes)

Anyway, I just picked this baby up at Cabela's over the weekend.

It takes 2 3/4 or 3" shells.

Should make shooting trap alot more fun than my old clunky Remmy 870.

Cool gun. Unless you've already been shooting a 20 get ready for a wake up call on the trap or skeet range. I shoot an over under 20 for upland and it works well in the field (try the Federal copper plated lead loads in 7.5).

However at the range a 12 works way better for me. I know all personal opinion but I've noticed a huge difference. Again I seem to kill birds just fine with the above mentioned load and come to think about it haven't tried to use that load at the range (expensive).

I had a buddy buy a o/u 28 a while ago for quail hunting and he had an even tougher time. Nice gun to carry though.

That is a good looking shotgun, kind of looks like a Browning Gold. I have never owned a Benelli, though I have considerd them a couple of times. As far as 20 guage goes...........I have one 20 ga that I use for grouse hunting. Full choke with number 4's or 5's, makes for good head shots. I dont use it for anything else because of similar experiences to seastrike.

Yeah, that's prolly all I'll use it for.

Mostly Ill just bust targets using a Skeet or Cylinder choke.

Great grouse gun. maybe even a little phesant chasing though I like the 12 as the dog I hunt behind seems to need to be a little to excited sometimes.

Nice addition to your gun safe! Should be good for skeet and dove/quail. I've got 2 of their 12 gages and have nothing but good things to say about them (except for the $). I've never shot a 3" 20 ga before but sounds legit for hunting. Happy shooting.

Great gun and guage! Good for you! 20's will kill "almost" as well as 12's...the obvious differences are less payload and slower velocities. In trap shooting at the range, screw in a full choke and shoot #8's and you'll do as well as a 12ga at 16yds (I used to shoot 7/8 an 1oz loads thru my 12ga for practice). I've killed em all with a 20ga, and to think of it with my 28ga that I had also. Like most sports, it's all about placement.

I believe he still has it. His is a pretty sweet side by 28 by Bertenelli? I think that's the name. Italian side by side. The gun was light as a feather. You could swing it quick but hard to slow down if you know what I mean.

Never had an issue killing anything including geese with a 20. Just choose the right load for your gun.

Wow, that's a beautiful shotgun! I'm still wanting to buy one and can't get my head off of a side by side double; don't know why.

Want an Excellent SxS?

For super Cheap?

Get a CZ.

It's my retirement dream to sit on my big wooden covered porch overlooking my garden, sitting in a rocking chair, smoking a pipe, with a big bushy beard, and a goofy hat...
With a big, nice SxS 10 or 12 ga. across my lap and a smelly ole hound dog curled up at my feet.

Peter Rabbit will rue the day he ever enters my yard.

Nice piece, but I would hardly call an 870 clunky.

But then again, I have been known to own many a clunky things.
