Hey gammyman.go for thr 1141S IMX, Ive fished both the GL3 and the IMX. The Imx has a little more power inn the butt. I have An 1141 IMX and I use it for evrything, Trout to chinook. In fact Ilanded a 36 lb cinook on it this fall.

Hehe.. I have a 6' med-light action shimano Scimitar trout rod, that I landed a 50 lb (guesstimate)chrome bright chinook on the elwah with 8 lb test... heheh... Beat that =) And not ten minutes later landed a chromer around 35 lbs... I was tired after 2 1/2 hours or so of fighting two fish... =)
